No reason not to, but you do lose the primary benefit and main draw of conventional religion- you get to be part of an ethno-group. Christianity is a little different, because literally anyone can be a Christian which is why so many browns and self-hating LGBLTs are into it these days, but even they at least get to be part of a group.
At the same time, it can be rewarding to solo-worship. You get to pick the god you worship, which is essentially how people used to do things (((back in the day))). I had my first real spiritual vision after beginning to worship Silvanus
