I mostly agree with that, core part of being a jew is interpreting the torah which went into the septuagint translation. The religion doesnt have to be ancient or long established, dudes like philo in alexandria where the septuagint were made are all influential in bringing in greek ideas like the soul and immaterial god to form judaism out of israelite religon
