The Jews had no part in the founding of America, they only came to it later after it had become prosperous and independent of ancient European aristocracies which they had lived in terror of for centuries. Naturally the Jews would flee to a place where the old regimes no longer ruled. A multicultural society is of natural benefit to the Jew, who stands out less in a plurality of different peoples than when they are the lone enclave in a monocultural society.

However, even in a melting pot of different European peoples, the Jews stand out. How can they not? It is their nature to self-isolate and antagonize those outside their group. But America had rid itself of the old class systems and hierarchies which had firmly kept the Jews outside the gates of real power, and without these ancient barriers there was nothing to stop the insidious Jewification of American institutions.

Calling them puritan colonies is a little off the mark, because they didn't long remain puritan. Puritans were ultra-hardline Calvinists who left England after it became apparent nobody there was interested in reforming the country's religious institutions according to their batshit insane theology, and their own religious communes in America didn't last very long because it turns out young people raised in super repressive environments often have a strong urge to leave. And once there were more options to leave instead of going native in the woods (i.e. once non-religious lunatics began settling the continent) Puritan communities found themselves devoid of young people to foist their insane ideology onto. So the puritans would die out or evolve into other types of religious cooks, some of whom persist to this day.
