The lineart club never dies.

Are you going to make a comic with these characters or what?
>>7596440
I personally wouldn't even draw the left arm with this pose but it's up to you.

>use brush
>my art looks good
>use no brush
>art usually looks shit unless I spend a bunch of time refining the lines
why is this
Anonymous No.7598629
>>7598325
that's usually what you do to make good line art tho, you just go over the existing lines you've done to add more weight

sup lineboys!
recently picked up a brush pack based on food. It's got plenty of effects stuff for painting, but there's one really strong line brush in there. It's called plain scone and it looks like some kind of baker's pastry cutter of a teddy bear head with a bow tie. Really weird, but it's become my favourite line brush ever.
I don't know why this shape works so well, but I put it on 100% opacity/flow and set the pen pressure to effect opacity and size just a little and it's perfect! You can see the shape in pic related, and something I'm currently drawing with it.
Definitely one of my favourite brushes of all time! Here's a link: https://files.catbox.moe/gfvfbg.abr

Nice stuff, very expressive. Especially with the hair. And done with the teddy brush no less.

Am I cool enough to join the club? The stuff in this thread is pretty inspiring desu.

Just 'finished' picrel. I'm tired so the feet are phoned in and I didn't realize how high up her chest melons were. I 'll have to fix when I wake up.

I have an issue of making the Interior linework much too thicc which I'm really trying to get better at.

Thanks man! Love seeing your stuff too. It has a very whimsical vibe that reminds me of old school Tony DiTerlizzi stuff.

You guys ever afraid you put so much effort in to the linework as a way to distract from underlying issues with your fundies?

>>7617191
>>7614326
Very cute.

>>7620231
Very cool.
I've been meaning to ask if these are characters just for fun or if you have a project in mind with them.
Anonymous No.7623356
>>7623000
pure linework relies heavily on fundimentals since it doesn't use colour to make it pretty. I think colouring is a distraction from how bad a drawing can be

also yeah they're for a game

I don't think there's such a thing as too much effort. But I do wonder sometimes if I've doomed myself by not studying any painting or colour theory and sticking to only pens.
