That long line is following the ASIS or the nobby bit at the front crest of the pelvis, and the sartorius which connects from that tip and crosses the thigh to connect below the knee to the tibia on the inside of the leg.

It's long and flat like a belt so it makes a noticable indentation on fit body types.

they make your lines more stable, I promise. I wish I had an answer for you about how to make your hand stop shaking, but it really depends on what your specific problem. Can be from a few things. Mine is neurological but a lot of people get it from low blood sugar so make sure you eat breakfast before you draw and see if that helps it all. Another option is an adrenal problem or thyroid problem or a vitamin deficiency. Grips help a lot with line stability even if they don't correct your hands shaking themselves because your hand has something better to grip on to. If you really want your hands to shake less, hold something weighted. As an example, if I'm holding something with weight, my hands don't really shake as much, so you can try waiting your down a little bit somehow
I can't say that it'll work because it really depends on why your hands are shaking because some people have tremors that are worse when resting. Mine is worse with intention
But the grips really help me and they are definitely worth a shot because they're super cheap and help you have more stability

also physical therapy if you can! You'd be shocked, or occupational is good for hand stuff. I did lots of it for my lower body, not my hands, and it made a big help for injury/damage related quality of life. If you have the financial option, seek out occupational help. I heard they have methods for helping with fine motor and dexterity by teaching you other tasks - let's say someone wants to get back into knitting and crochet and doesn't have fine motor for it, so they start with weaving and build up - if you can, it's definitely worth inquiring! I can't afford it now but it was a treasure when I had it on insurance

You don't even realize often how much these things affect you because if it's affecting your hands in drawing, it's probably affecting you in lots of ways you don't even notice that adds to your daily frustration. It's really helpful to just get it understood even if you don't feel like it's enough or you don't deserve the help because you aren't injured enough, you really don't know how much better it can be. As an example, I'd love to seek it out because one of the things that I struggle with is things like unloading the dishwasher because I have poor fine motor so picking up silverware is really hard. Or opening and tearing bags or chopping food so I have to get everything pre-chopped. Learning accessibility mechanisms is one of the best parts of physical therapy and occupational help, And I can't recommend it enough. I really hope that you get into the position to seek it out nonnie!

Neck is quite thick for this style, you can get away with making it much thinner for anime illustrations. Lower face is also short, move the mouth and chin lower. Finally get rid of the hint of her thumb on the hand holding the fan, it's not visible in that pose and it'll make the hand look more natural. That said, nice rendering on the clothing and body, and props for doing not just a background, but an interesting background.

I notice everyone does them differently so it's hard to pinpoint where something goes objectively wrong when it's so subjective. Still i'll give it a fresh look tomorrow and see if moving the facial features in the way you suggested makes more sense to me. Also it's true anime necks are very thin. reel it back a little and don't worry about complex anatomy right now.
what you want is doing gesture stuff like focusing on the weight and balance of a pose. Basic shapes and how they're interacting with eachother.
you also need to reel it back even farther and train your eye to be more critical of lengths and sizes of stuff. Practice from reference and really try to get the proportions accurate. It's very difficult but the more you do it the better you'll get at it.

No, a very very very limited perspective, i struggle with extreme angles. Also if you watch some of the videos notice how i fuck up the face like 30 times, that is also a problem for me faces, it eats like 1/2th the time of every drawing because i draw a face fuck it up, have to redraw it, fuck it up, again and again. I have alot of other flaws but pointing them all out isn't productive.

nice work. tried something lyl. no need heed but some pointers:
‐legs are too big (mb im too loli pilled), top one doesn't properly rest on the other and her ass is floating
‐either make the dragons and stuff in perspective or make it front on like i did
‐the shadows are a bit muddy for clean anime style. also with folds it's good to be conservative and keep the forms clean
‐kind of again about the bg, try to make it serve the composition. here i did so by framing the character with light and making things nice and symmetric and also notice the leading lines into the character
‐made the head bigger
‐added the foot as it looks awkward cut off and added some breathing room up top

i'd probs also make the floor kinda glossy/light to have a nice rhythm of light/dark/light, maybe have the light peek from under the chair

You mean you drew the same character in a different pose? Because these two pictures look nothing alike.
As far as progress, little has changed, and I am assuming left is old and new is right. So the colors on the right one look slightly better.
The quality however changes throughout the picture, there's jagged lines all over and clean lines, there's part left white and not filled in, the anatomy has not improved, dare I say regressed even if I can only judge by these two pictures,

I recommend trying to understand how to study, how to learn, how to absorb information. Not just in drawing, in everything. Age plays a role for me, when I was 21 I couldn't care less, even if I really wanted something, to learn something, it just didn't stick. Now I'm old and shriveled up but absorb information (and convert it to skill) much more easily. Inb4 drunken rambles from an ancient guy on a mongolian basket weaving forum, I hope you do understand what I'm trying to say. Keep going, we're all gonna make it, that includes you. Ignore crabs who don't post their work and have nothing of value to say from here on out. I agree heavily with >>7607716 that the ideas you're trying to execute are much improved. Keep challenging yourself with difficult poses (always use a ref and overlay it on your drawing if you have to) until shit starts to feel less difficult.

Her legs are in two different perspectives, if you were going for one leg up + one leg down you'd have to move her right foot way back (try the pose irl and you'll see what I mean). Fingers would also be splayed to support her weight. Torso wasn't connected to the pelvis properly, try to draw 2 boxes for the torso and pelvis bare minimum for construction and keep the layer around to reference back to to avoid this.

I drew the head + torso in line with the perspective of how I drew the legs, but if you were aiming for the perspective of the other leg then it was mostly fine, I would just make the neck thinner and lower where the breasts connect just a tad.

Just trace some art until you get a feel for the human skull. If you want you can start off by drawing the circle and the midline and side planes on top of the drawing, then seeing how it ends up looking, compare to your previous attempts see the issues, and repeat a bunch more times

Here's a cube I just did. Also, what's the best method for tracing without having the ability to literally put a piece of paper on screen and trace over it? Just copy from the image while looking at it side by side?

That's more so copying the drawing, it is also a nice exercise to make at first. If you have a phone you can put the paper over the phone i guess, otherwise i'm digital so not much advice i can give unless you have a printer

Then you have options to choose on how to trace, i would recommend you do the tracing and drawing planes exercise instead of the boxes at first, only focus on the boxes to do more controlled lines otherwise you'll end up like one more 'fun' schizo

Either one is fine, one trains your mind to get used to the planes of the face, the other one trains your eyes and ability to discern spaces. Just do whichever one you think is fun at the moment as both are good pre-beg exercises. Just draw in other words

>>7608274
I'm fairly sure a standard piece of paper is see through against a screen moderately bright. At least see-through enough where you can copy contours and such. Otherwise i can't solve your physical problems, figure it out as only you know what you have and don't have, get creative iwth it

i know it's boring but get something cube shaped irl and just keep drawing it from different angles until you can draw a good cube, put a lot of focus on accuracy. Mastery of the cube means you understand drawing 3d in a 2d space, everything else will become so much easier once you can do this.

well all you see happening here is observation essentially since i don't really know the planes of the face but what i've done to get to this point is to just watch some Marco Bucci's videos and copy stuff the best i can. it's my second color portrait and like 3rd painting portrait ever so can't really be teaching anything xd. except one thing and that is that you just need to start (just draw xd). every good artist has an unbelievable amount of mileage behind them, art is something where there is pretty little you need to know but insane amount of practice to internalize it all. that's to say that there is no resource you need, just observe and come up with formulas that work for you. that's what how i view things right now anyway
