>bitch ass park ranger job made me wake up super early so I can drive to the nation park on time
>can't even sketch the trees and shit because i am either on patrol with my bitch ass coworker that will snitch on me or in the fucking office dealing with retarded excel spreadsheets
>by the time i finished dinner and goes back it is like 11pm
>already feels like absolute shit, head hurts and super drowsy. Can't even focus on finishing my daily tasks
>can't focus on my daily work pratices at all and got subpar results
>and that's if i tried to maximize my free time instead of caving in to my bitch ass parents and waste my fucking time at theirs listening to them mourning why is their son a fucking park ranger instead of a doctor despite getting a college degree
>on sundays and other holidays i am just so fucking tired that i just sleep for the whole day because any other option is going to make me feel even shittier tomorrow
I can't just quit my fucking job because rent's due and i still like nature. What should i do if i wanna learn drawing? I barely have time for myself.

not to mention everything is so god damn fucking muddy and damp that my sketchbook would turn into brown mush in a few hours outside. Best i can do is to doodle some shit when i am on excel duty and no one's looking.

id say the job isnt compatible with drawing then. find something closer and easier, possibly at the detriment of money if the pay is worse.
If the job is hurting you, take into account if its worth it do. Your their to make money, to improve your life, so think if the money you make is worth it, or could be made elsewhere. you could feel a lot better and have a few hours to draw each night

That's so fucking unfair. I wanted to get a park ranger job that was part time in my city like 4 hours a day just getting to be one with nature and shit and NOOOOOO the job goes to people like you. It's not fair.

If I had your job I'd take pictures/videos of all the birds and trees as reference and people interacting from afar. I wouldn't try bother sneaking a drawing at work. I took a video the other day of this Asian lady attacking ducks with a stick. You'd never get that type of reference online.

Ultimately, if it's something you really WANT to do, you'd make time somehow. I know that's a basic bitch way of looking at it, but it's also true. I'm sure you find time to watch movies or videos, or read, or something else, so why can't you make an hour a day to just do some doodling?

How do you do this without feeling creepy? Not accusing you of being creepy btw, I'm just autistic and feel very weird even looking at other people, let alone taking pictures of them. Do you need to use like a telescopic camera lens so they won't notice you? Or do people really not care about people recording them in this day and age?

I was recording her from far away in my car so she couldnโ€™t notice. Thereโ€™s just so many natural moments I see from people that I wish I had a contact lens camera to capture videos at will.

You could take some of the time you spend bitching and use it for drawing.

Nigga you are not gonna find a magic spell here that conjures up free time for you. If your job is that time consuming, then change it to another. If you can't, then tough luck.

drawing is at minimum a 2 hour activity. There's really no such thing as productive drawing for any less than that. 2 hours is a huge ask for people, and I can't reduce the time I spend fapping or doomscrolling. Those are non negotiable.

>drawing is at minimum a 2 hour activity.
Wrong. You are using this as an excuse to simply not draw. You can draw for one hour, half an hour, fuck, you could even draw for ten minutes. If you're not drawing, it's entirely on you, because you simply didn't want to do it enough.
Nobody says you have to have a finished rendered drawing after each drawing session.
>I can't reduce the time I spend fapping or doomscrolling. Those are non negotiable.
These are you priorities, and that's fine, but no whinging about not having the time to draw.

if you draw in ten minutes then you're still learning and dont have the pressure of creating finished works.

>/beg/ but mostly a hobbyist
>still get someone asking me to draw something at least once a week
>get to walk around a lot for energy boosts
Next year I will be debt free and will have an entire paycheck that can just go into savings. Might get myself a better tablet then. Still using a shitty 40 dollar one. Or splurge and get a fancy pencil and pen and actually good sketchpads

you just have to find time, if you're ever sitting around for an hour just watching youtube videos or scrolling social media, or just lurking 4chan that could be time for drawing instead. at that point it's mostly a motivation thing, i find myself choosing the youtube video over drawing often.

maybe, but my energy is so limited that if I draw for ten minutes, I'm burntout for hours, so I might as well draw for hours since the burnout is the same.

Sounds massively comfy. I always wanted to do a security if my CS degree fails, but sadly I was turned out to be a relatively decent student after all, and I heard nightshifts can make you pretty miserable since the world isn't made around those kinds of times. Maybe that will be my backup plan once the job market crashes completely.
>still get someone asking me to draw something at least once a week
Like at work or online? What do you draw?

Nta but getting a lax security job is entirely based on luck. You might get stationed at a residence where barely anyone comes in at night (max chill) or you may get thrown to a lions den where 1 gate blockades 30 different neighborhoods (and God only knows why this is even allowed in the first place), so you'll never get downtime and you'll always have the supervisor down your neck.

I'm a security guard and I draw on company time, sometimes for several hours each shift. Can recommend this line of work.
Here's me drawing at the reception desk of the townhall.

Thanks, but you can literally see several ink splotches on the paper. Others I covered or or scratched off the paper later. Happy little accidents.

At work. I normally just doodle since I don't have internet at my drawing desk. I was on Graveyard shift for 3 years until I was able to get onto days. Most people just see me drawing and ask me to draw a tattoo, lion, birthday cards, etc.

>>7614377
I've only ever done Casino security. The job is so easy that I don't know if I can ever go to a real job. Even my worst days pale compared to even an easy graveyard shift.
