All my life I've wanted to write, make stories, and draw comics, but the motivation to actually go through with it has never really been there for me. I've never completed a multichapter in my entire life and I've never been able to draw a single comic let alone draw much of anything for my whole life. I want to be an artist and do something, but I can't ever seem to make anything.

What should I do?

You should play with legos or something like that before you do art, it's a good way to develop your sense of creativity. You could even consider using nontraditional artisitc mediums if it helps you accomplish your vision.

I know that feel. I have an irresistible urge to create, but not anything in particular so how to create when I have no idea what I want to create simply that I must create?

I shifted gears,or planned to.

The plan remains to draw the first Introductory story like this,then drag the raw art into Photoshop to color and tweak it,eventually making the results into hardcopy books. I have limited time to draw,so I thought I could generate sufficient content to maintain traffic the YouTube channel. I have a ton of work to do even before that could happen like polishing the channel and adding some sort of sound bed for the videos : minutes of dead silence can't hold anyone's interest for long no matter how wonderful the art is. I was hoping to peddle tshirts through an Etsy store with that traffic,especially to kids(which is why comments are switched off once an upload is declare Child Friendly).

But for the past half of 2025 it's been one disaster after another. No time to draw or to do any of the background construction of the channel, no money to get a proper scanner, and my laptop that has artwork from the past dozen years is battery fried and now can be chucked next to my desktop tower which has a failing hard drive and has the artwork from the 2000s trapped inside it,along with my creaky but serviceable Photoshop 5.5 and filters.

And my problems are escalating,so who knows when I will ever do more. A pity. I thought it would be intersecting to people to watch the iconic imagery that my story would unfold appear before their eyes straight from my work addled and THC infused head.
