Has this helped anyone else here?

I didn't see a lot of progress but at least I can draw better circles now

I tried it, it's worthless. He had a phase where he kept uploading quick learn grift schedules like that, and if you check w/e hashtag people post results on, not a single one improved noticeably. Like all other teachtubers, he has no idea how to actually teach the skill he's proficient on, just vaguely gives tips that sound more or less reasonable and might trick a beg into thinking it's a solid plan because look! on day 30 you'll be able to draw PERFECT FUCKING HANDS after only 30 shitty geometrical drawings!

Marc's best content is on rendering.

the only thing i saw a bit of improvement on was drawing basic shapes. as a beginner i don't know what else i should do now.

learn to copy things more or less accurately (makes studying anything else more productive), then learn some basic construction/anatomy. Don't go too deep down the rabbit hole though, just enough to get decent proportions/basic volumes. Then learn about gesture and focus on trying to make your drawings less stiff, while deepening your knowledge of things like faces, hands, and clothing. Make sure you are also drawing shit for fun alongside too, so you don't burn out.

i never really measure, just contour draw

this was my latest attempt at copying

Worthless. Anyone following this to the t and doing no extra drawing will be filtered before day 10

books are better but more boring too

it takes me about an hour to warm up,(with Krita), but recently started using Clip Studio and my art has been smooth like paper. just give yourself time, or try something different.

This is the video that convinced me he's a grifter.
Anonymous No.7610480 [Report] >>7610789
What he teached:
Day 3: draw butts
Day 4: draw breast with shadow
Day 7: draw a head and shadows
Day 12: draw arms
Day 13: twist the body
Day 19: draw a barn
Day 24: draw a weed stash box
Day 28: fails to teach rotation
Day 29-30: fails to mention proportions, ratios

Nah, this is just your avg time filler on yt.

ur built like a large proportion

how tho

I would suggest using bargue plates but they're boring for beginners

I did it but I didn't do 1 drawing a day, I did the exercise until I actually got good at the exercise, and then went to the next. If you just go through each exercise once without reviewing if you're doing it right, then it's useless.

op here idk how to use proportion methods either

my man if you really think completing this will allow you to draw anything, you are completely wrong. This shit is just an absolute beginner exercise sheet, a step up to a serious course like dynamic sketching or any other construction based course.

I never said i thought that

Im just lost in general. If not this then wtf should i do

keys to drawing next, as much of the book as you'd like to, in order to improve your observational skills. Then dynamic sketching, to improve your general drawing skills. It takes a lot of mileage before you actually get the feeling you can draw anything (not from your head but from observation, and of course not necessarily with perfect accuracy).

but do make sure that you actually are good at every exercise in the list from marc brunet, don't just go over them once but verify that you're confident in all of them.

KTD, then marc brunet?
Anonymous No.7614105 [Report] >>7615211
>>7614063
I'd do the marc brunet stuff first and then KTD, you don't need the principles from KTD in any way for the brunet exercises

This is gonna take me like 30 days but i bet it will be worth it
Anonymous No.7615638 [Report] >>7618204

I only started getting the feeling that I could draw after a full year of drawing daily, just so you know. Brunet was only the beginning for me, but if you succeed in this you're gmi.
Anonymous No.7615675 [Report]
The only value in watching Marc Brunet is watching the drawings in the background and seeing what he is doing. You can basically ignore everything he says and not lose anything because he reposts the same nothing advice over and over again. However even watching his process in the background isn't worth it anymore because he just reuses video footage. Your time is better spent fucking drawing or watching someone actually good like ModernDayJames or someshit

i strongly dislike his facial features which are extremely put on (for the kind of vids he tries to create) and unpleasent to watch at; the vibe is beyond uncomfortable...

you have retards anywhere, there are enough people who fail at Vilppu, that's not Vilppu's fault. Though I agree you should quickly move on from marc brunet to more serious courses.

Tutorials tell you the answer to 2 + 2 is 4 without telling you what addition is.

yeah that looks pretty good, well done. on to the next. You'll find that having the fundamentals down will very much help you in the future, especially in construction based methods like dynamic sketching or Vilppu.
(also what I did was for some of them briefly redo them, just once).
