I got to used to brush stabilization to the point that I can no longer draw without having it to the max.

Chances are you can't draw regardless, so no big loss.

Inking nice lines is a big part of the fun of drawing for me. A stabilizer would totally ruin that part.

I can't draw, I just brute-force lines over and over with CTRL-Z until I get a good one.

I can't stand stabilizers at all, but I know great artists who swear by it. I don't think it matters either way.

Start drawing with a small pixel brush with no stabilisation, like a drawing done in msPaint or a Oekaki drawing. It should make you less worried about the messiness of the line and help you get away from the max stabilisation.
Honestly though, if it works for you, why worry? So long as the end result is good and you're enjoying drawing, what's the issue?

draw on paper

Trad drawing has built in stabilization for the simple fact that your pen/pencil/brush physically grips the paper/canvas.
With digital you have 1:1 mapping of every micro jitter your hand does on the smooth tablet surface.

Turn stabilization off for everything other than final line art

I saw people putting paper on top of their wacom. Supposedly it feels better.

That's right, drawing on actual, real life paper. Daily reminder that digital so-called "art" isn't real art and that tradGODS are the only true artists

>takes me 5 minutes to adjust to switching stab on and off.
You're using it for the wrong reason Anon.
You're scared of the pen.
You're scared of your arm getting tired.
You don't know what your deltoid muscle feels like.
You've never felt the muscles in your forearm wriggling about under your skin.
You've never felt the cold feeling in shoulder joint that comes from holding up your arm for 10 mins, let alone hours.
You aren't ready to whine about stabilization anon, because you don't know what its for.
Anonymous No.7630851 [Report]
>>7630638
That's just a typical afternoon for a tradGOD though, so not really worthy of mention
