You'd think someone that renders at this level would understand shadows. Other than this being an obvious bait thread, this is unoriginal slop with no compelling narrative other than unga bunga. Of course, you'd expect more from AI users given they have the most powerful tool to exist for idea creation at their disposal yet here we are, so I'm actually hoping this isn't AI assisted because otherwise the implications are even worse.

It's probably still AI. Obviously not just generate and post, but he conveniently started late last year like a bunch of AI accounts. He also posts 2-3 images every few days which feels like a lot and his artstyle often matches the anime/characters arstyle way too much without having his own.
There are a few accounts like this in the last few months. And they always turn out to be spics and often retweet eachother.
And WIP stages can always be created from the finished AI image.

And they don't seem to be doing a whole lot to expose it to potential fans. No retweeting anybody, only replies are to comments on their own posts so it's only to people who have already seen it. Can't see likes anymore but if there's no retweets then I'm gonna assume they're not liking other posts either. This stuff is important, otherwise how else is somebody supposed to find the posts? Searching for them?
It's not "all just luck". There's plenty one can do to expose good artwork to people who want to see it, this person just hasn't done any of it *except make this thread I guess.

Even the most advanced AI sloppa models like GPT-4 and NAI v3 still suck at making images with more than 2 characters, let alone 3 of them interacting with a partially visible vehicle.

it kinda is luck. but it's also demographic. if you're posting fotm goonslop, you're competing with the other million people doing the same exact thing at pretty much the same skill level. there's nothing that stands out in this piece, no distinct style and boring composition. either get good (like really good) or get an interesting style and aim for a more niche demographic that you resonate with more

OP here. I have to agree on a lot of these points made so I took another look at this person's art and their accounts. They are a little too good at emulating the very different styles of source material. They also seem to be pushing really hard that they are a japanese girl. I tried talking to them when they were online but they refused to respond. I suspect you guys are right and this is just some dude trying over and over to run AI accounts without disclosing his use of AI... which is really fucking faggy. So my bad on this one /ic/.

consistency matters a lot more than quality due to user activity times and discovery algorithms
you're far more likely to "blow up" if you post subjectively mediocre work every single day or even every other day at the exact same time than you are by posting high quality work sporadically throughout a month
like many things, luck is a factor, but some make their own luck by playing the numbers game
