The guy who recommended Xiao Weichun is probably a good bet. I've only quickly scanned through that book but it looks pretty solid. I learned Chommang's method recently myself which is just Loomis but some of the guidelines are slightly modified

If you draw the same way you will get the same result. Focus on drawing differently, learn new methods of construction and try to implement them in your drawings,see if you like it. Fair warning because you are experimenting your skill will seem to become worse because you're tackling new things. Its confusing desu, not entirely in a bad way. The cat ears and the metallic arms are well done and look intriguing but the shirt - especially in the torso region - is shaded so badly it feels like you asked somebody else to fill in for you. The terminator line is cool but I think you should make it a lil bit more subtle, 10% blur should be ok. The face is expressive and not overly done. A shame you dont have any (you) desu

Spent too much time on it, but I really wanted to make E33 fan art. Head is a disaster and folds suck, but overall I am happy with it. it shows my weaknesses. someone had pointed out my art has a lot of smoke and mirrors (my curvy lines are actually the result of an anatomical problem more than just a stylistic choice) but there's a tool on procreate called motion filtering that allows me to make cleaner and less bouncy lines, therefore less smoke and mirrors. it's less a thing of enjoyment and more of a thing of it forces greater awareness of my mistakes.

The "character design" is perfect. But the "silhouette design" looks askew and scruffy. his legs and boots need some re-alignment, trim some of the "fat" in the pants and boots. Just my humble opinion. The pic looks great in style, render and design, but "off details" always jumps out more when a pic is good overall.

Been doing Bridgman and 99% of my time drawing is just spend on redrawing stuff I like.
I don't really feel like I'm learning because I'm not actually "studying" but it's fun regardless.
Also kinda feel like just taking a Yoh Yoshinari artbook I own and redrawing everything in it just like with Bridgman. Adds some variety and I copy a different style.

I came to the realization that even though it creates much less aesthetically pleasing copies, it is significantly better to copy things in your own style of drawing rather than trying to copy the lines because if you just copy the lines you aren't learning the forms underneath or what they're meant to represent. just the lines are being added to your visual library. even if they end up less accurate and less pleasing to look at you're learning and remembering more because your brain is doing more subconscious work, I guess. seems to stick way more if I do that

I think it's better if you have a decent amount of experience drawing first before tackling construction. Like at least ~100 hours of drawing. When you are too inexperienced in drawing, you don't even know why or how construction would be useful yet. Not to mention, you'll struggle with drawing the basic 3D forms that you need to construct anyway. Especially if you start with stylized stuff from the start.

In this explorative beginner phase, they should try different mediums, subject matters, drawing from life, photos, 3D, imagination etc. They'll find things and ways they like to draw. Most will start to reach their natural limits and their skills will stagnate after some time. So this phase will probably come with some frustration, ideally they'll be able to turn that energy into motivation to study the basics seriously. They should also have a clearer goal of the actual art they want to make too now. Lots of people here study just to improve but don't have a clear goals to work towards. It's much easier to study when you know why you are studying it and how it will specially improve your Pokemon drawings or anime girls or whatever it is you actually want to draw.
