Ah, back when artists were regular, well adjusted, human beings, and not shut-in losers. It was a very different time.

Terrible bait.
Also I will admit that the internet had made it possible to be a good artist and never be forced to leave your apartment for any reason.

protip: you don't need a friend if you have a camera and a mirror, or a tripod with a delayed timer to get into pose

You mean back when artists were mostly sociopaths grifting the wealthy (and later with some schizos managed by sociopathic agents to grift the wealthy), and not obsessive spergs leeching off government assistance?

Yeah back when the artists were sociopaths, and they'd hang out with their insane architect buddies who were conning the wealthy into buying mansion, or the ludicrous craftsman pals who were selling the snake oil that was their luxury furniture to the wealthy, or the demented musicians who would waste the wealthy's time with their long-winded rambling songs, or the charlatan chefs who would schizo out their overpriced food for the wealthy.

Sometimes I wonder if I couldn't just pay some randos on Onlyfans to do it considering they all seem to have 4k cameras, green screens and complex lighting setups.

They're already doing macro anal vore for $20 I'm sure I can have them pose like Spider-Man for 30

Almost every major town or city has life drawing sessions with a model. They usually charge a small fee but it is also a good plave to meet other artists.

When was this ever case? Artists were always shut in losers who are completely mental.
One the most famous ones cut his ear off in a schizo episode. We were never well adjusted. art isn't made by normal people

are you all actually factually friendless, or just trying to fit in with the idea of /ic?
I knew many anons here back in the day, most of them were ok at socializing.
If you actually are, I can give some tips on how to get friends and shit, if anyone cares.

The majority of the great artists throughout history have been fairly average people outside of their work, or even full blown socialites - such as Jean Honore Fragonard.
Fuck, even the artist you've cherry picked, Van Gogh, still had friends, lovers, family; you point to his mental illness and say that's evidence for him being an anti-social loser, or that's how how all artists are, well I'll point to almost any other artists and say that's how they actually usually are.
Even the quirkier artists out there tended to have a good amount of friends.

You're all saying, "artists are losers", because you're all losers who hope to be artists.

That came about with early 20th century abstract art which was made by literal schizos and people following new age and theosophy shit. The ravings of madmen were basically seen as interesting enough and then it became a regular feature, with weirdos like Basquiat and Rothko being basically human zoo animals for the wealthy.

i could talk about the tribes survival relying on culture and therefore involving greatly on artistic creations but you'd probably get a brain anuerysm tying to grasp it
