How do I legitimately finish a piece of art? Once I get the idea and linework to a reasonable stage and transition over to coloring/rendering I cringe.

I would recommend studying other finished works of art and developing a process where you keep the end result in mind. A lot of beginner internet artists I think get too caught up in the sketch -> line art -> colour pipeline which is a bit of a trap

I was looking at Star vs the Forces of Evil to study for the Cal Arts challenge and she's so irritating and annoying I couldn't finish it. I decided to switch over to Gravity Falls and I got bored less than 8 minutes in. I notice they have big round eyes.
I went to watch SpongeBob and immediately I'm 8 eps in and completely enthralled. He has big round eyes too. And all of these shows exaggerate movements, albeit SpongeBob takes it to the next level with hand drawn gags

Do you have trouble with coloring and rendering in general? It helped me to draw solely with color and/or value as practice just so I could get used to it. It's also important to consider how much you want to work on different parts of a piece. A finished piece could still be have complex lineart and cel shading, for example. Or no lineart and all rendering. Or you could just have plain ass simple lineart and coloring! The point where a piece is "finished" varies greatly and I recommend you keep it simple/do the bare minimum if you can't get past any of the steps in your process.

Yeah, it is. It can work, I mean the daily post doesn't need to be a finished piece or anything, can be notes, practice, WIPs or whatever. But if you're on streak manintenance, it's usually just some meaningless sketches that you just repeat for weeks at a time. Pirate proko's figure drawing class and dynamic sketching 1 and 2 with peter han. You need to feel the form some more and a better construction method for your figures.
That said if you've only been drawing for 1 and a half year since you made your DAD acc your progress is okay. Also try drawing 2-3hrs per day though i know that's a lot to ask for some people.
Also a personal thing from me if you draw digitally try using a brush with low density and drawing big strokes then honing in on making them cleaner with the eraser and reinforcing the lines by going over them again, it looks a lot better than trying the pixel dark pencil imo when sketching

It's hard to even notice where you're lacking if you're malnourished or overworked.

It's very easy to sit here all day and nitpick why you're bad, but I think improving in art is a lifestyle issue. A bloke who works 10pm - 6am night shifts is going to be fighting his circadian rhythm more than he's able to focus on making gains.

Obviously if you put in a little more time on rendering or studying human anatomy you'll be placed higher on tier lists, but how can you do that if you're, say, fighting sleep apnea or candida killing your gains.
