You can already do this by closing one of your eyes. It becomes more apparent when you're trying to touch something with your hand. You don't get a sense for how far or close something was until you end up touching and feeling how much distance you travelled. It would definitely make mark making feel weird at first. You'd probably just get use to it or devise a strategy for when you should make a mark. You can still perceive depth because it's more than just having a second eyeball. The same object will appear smaller the farther it is from where it was or objects will still overlap. It's just the your approximation of how far things are between each other is off. It's not totally gone.

Reilly is a workflow where rhythm and flow are treated as first class citizens. It focuses on finding relationships through rhythm/lines/flow. His head method is more popular than his figure drawing, but for me, the figure approach feels more intuitive, especially the torso, which is treated as a big triangle shape. It allows me to be more expressive with my figures.

There are no books that detail the process. The best source I’ve found is this ImagineFX Anatomy issue:

So if you're the type who prefers a more guided or hand holding approach, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you like figuring things out for yourself, it might be a good fit.

I mainly use Krita. CSP is better than Krita in three key areas:
- antialiasing algorithms
- dithering algorithms
- transform algorithms
- stabilization
Everything else isn’t really a game changer. Being a good draftsman is far more important.

Ok, it's good to keep in mind that many brushes in CSP have a default stabilization of 6, whereas Krita's default is none. Through trial and error, I've found that settings A and B work almost like CSP's default 6. Setting C works best for long, slightly curved lines, and D is great for lines with sharp curves.
Besides that, if you're like me and draw with overlapping lines, the brush config F makes it easier.

This pic has accurate foreshortening and proportions that are hard to master. Someone on this level will have way better developed lines. Before you give me examples od good artists with wobbly or simple lines there is still a difference. You can't fake muscle memory.

before you depict anything on a page with lines you have to be learn to make accurate lines in the first place
linework exercises until you can actually make the lines you intend on making, then observational skills (exercises testing your accuracy in relating and copying dots/lines on a page, contour studies of real-world forms) then basic 2D gesture (you can try this whenever you get bored of boring mechanical exercises), from there you can practice manipulating basic 3D shapes in perspective, then creating more complex, organic forms out of those shapes (through tapering, moulding, interlocking shapes together), then learn about proportion of the human body and practice basic 3D poses made out of the basic 3D shapes
after that point you can improve your figure studies by learn about applying values to organic forms, gradually developing your understanding of anatomy so you can adapt your models and references to emphasise muscle groups and contours/draw poses from different perspectives, but none of this is worth learning about until you can draw lines on a page accurately
don't misunderstand me when I put linework exercises and observation at the very start, you shouldn't breeze through what seem like basic linework and observational skills for a couple days before getting into the meat and potatoes of drawing figures and other complex forms, practice these while you develop your understanding of every other skill I mentioned or you're going to endlessly frustrate yourself by making shit lines while making zero progress

Well, here's the test+bootcamp if you wanna give it a try.

Test was:
-10 mins, slow deliberate lines (horizontal, vertical, 45° both directions)
-10 mins, ellipses, circles, figure eights
-10 mins, ghost lines, practice confident single stroke turns
- 30 mins, pick 2 simple objects (cup, chair, tool), draw with ref
-15 min break
-30 mins, redraw both objects from memory, no ref
1 hour, lines only, no shading, 5 household objects with refs, 3 should be drawn through as if transparent.

The daily was:
-10 mins, straight lines (ghost+ fast execute)
-10 mins, ellipses in boxes, between lines, in perspective
-10 mins, C curves, S curves, spirals, zigzags (aim to replicate as close as possible)
- No time limit, draw 10 ellipses, then redraw from memory
- No time limit, draw 5 boxes total from imagination (can mark vanishing points if needed) can mix and match, but try drawing atleast one with 1vp, 2vp and 3vp
- about 1 hour, choose 2 objects, redraw them with ref (15-20 mins each), put ref away/cover your drawing and redraw each from memory (15 mins each), light construction lines, push to capture proportion and specific curve identity
-30-40 mins, choose 1 simple form (mug, bottle, box, hammer), draw it at 4 different rotating angles (draw cube/rectangle to help facings), sketch lightly then clarify contour, at least 1 should be without refs or guides, occasionally rotate vertically
-60 mins, pick 3-5 household objects (no photoref), use draw through, rebuild form with basic primitives, show centerlines, crosscontours, elipses and axes, at least 1 object assymetrical
- 20-30 mins (5 mins per object), from memory (no references) redraw 4-6 objects, can be an object you drew before, No guidelines, just quick line sketch, if possible from multiple angles
-10 mins, sketchbook play.
- additionally, at the end of the week, redraw the object you felt was the best from memory and a different angle, then compare the two. Annoint where you feel both failed.

it's awkward because I've definitely gotten better this week but I have no motivation to sketch personally because I know I'm just not at the level with construction to where it'll look okay if I use it, so even though I've technically improved quite a bit I can't use it for personal work at all. less than zero motivation
