Females have completely different pelvic structures than men, but it depends on if you are trying to build a femboy or a lithe man, in which case you will probably build a femboy if you pursue that path.

All in all, he's quite a handsome dude, but, while the arrangement of the eyes and mouth on his face looks nice, the placement and shape of his nose is honestly a bit wonky.

For starters, his nose sprouts lengthwise directly from the glabella at a vertical 45° angle of inclination. Not even the straight profiles of Classical statues have nasal bridges that high. Just sketch a line connecting the inner corner of your character's left eyebrow with the foreground vertex of his nose tip (matching the edge where his nasal dorsum meets the sidewall closer to the viewer) and the problem will become easier to notice.

This issue stems in good part from the faulty application of the common animanga cheat of depicting the columella of the nose as if it originated from above the furthermost visible side of the mouth, instead of from the top of the philtrum, as it occurs in real life. This stylization works well on moe-ish faces (specifically because of the tiny mouths), not so much on those with less cartoony proportions, as it"s the case with your drawing.

My advice is that, when drawing a face in a 3/4 or near-profile view, in order to help you determine an acceptable placement for the nose in relation to the mouth, you take as a guideline the location of the background Glogau-Klein point of the character's upper lip (whether you choose to depict the latter or not), said point being the bottom of the furthermost ridge of the philtrum. At the end of the day, it's basically a less exaggerated version of the classic cheat.

Nah it's not the scanning issues, it's just bad and messy so it looks like the camera blurring. I haven't been able to mentally lock in so forms were all over the place. I have to remind myself to stop aiming my pencil in random directions and focus on putting down the correct stroke in one clean go.

I reccomend this tutorial to help with rendering the skin. I tried it myself following advice from the video to show how I tried to give it a more skin-like look while still reading as naturally black. The hair behind the head (under the chin) is lightened to increase depth. Do note that darker values will read as closer while lighter values read as further away. By lightening it you also mimic how it would look with the bounce light coming from the floor because even though it's pitch-black and in shadow, it loses it's depth if the value is too dark.

I tried to implement the videos' techniques' with bounce lighting and gradients and i ended satisfied a bit more, I think I was over exposing everything as well because I initially thought if it was more saturated with light the different aspects would be more clearly seperated on a darker surface which didn't turn out so good as you can see in the first thing I posted. Do a little research on historical periodical outfits. The cape lapels on your wizard boy seems a bit odd. Those lapel styles usually are on coats or jackets. Capes are just pieces of square cut fabric that have the tops folded over to make a big collar. Btw I love his little airhead expressions.

Hello this is a poor attempt a studying muscle. To be fair I’m kinda lost a drawing people.
I want to draw bara and be a bara artist (like Dopq and more for example). The problem is that I’m lost I don’t know where to start and how to practice and improve.
I don’t find a lot of ressource for bara (I mean it’s just muscular male). Maybe studying artist is a ressource ?

Instead of being the kind-of prickly kid with a heart of gold, which is his canon version, the "evil" version is undoubtedly smarter due to being separated from the main cast years before canon and given top-of-the-line education and basically being his parents' last-ditch attempt at having one of their spawn become a doctor.

That and having everything he could ever want handed to him makes him snobbier and also a dick to people who he sees as intellectually "below" him.

In addition, being repetitively told that he will cure AIDS/retardation/down syndrome/etc. further feeds his complex in which he is an asshole to the people that his canon version otherwise respected/cherished/etc. Asshole version lacks any of the empathy, kindness, or self-awareness of his canon version and believes he is fully immune to consequences, and, due to some fuckery on his behalf, he ends up accelerating the events of canon/making shit worse for everyone else in general.

The stuff his evil version does that's redeemable is few and far-between, but I'd like to think he'd at least get a shot at redemption... somewhere.

Thanks! I've really gotten into Epic the Musical (Odyssey musical) and wanted to make my own version of Polites's design for animation since I hated how most people drew him. His character is usually recognized with a headband and glasses (even though they didn't exist back then). The animation is for a song that includes Polites and Odysseus as children so I needed to design both teen and adult versions.

However I was going back at designing the adult version and I decided to make some different design choices and drop the Eva style a little so now I'll need to edit the younger version to fit.

I decided to trade his glasses for some simple goggles that exist as a form of eye protection out on the seas, rather than prescription glasses. Made his hair much more managable for animation, also gave him gloves for spear chucking. Also now playing with his color pallet which is based off of a butterfly of his namesake, Polites sonora. Honestly I've developed him so much further from his musical counterpart that he might as well be my OC at this point.
