Hands are one of the hardest things to draw, even with an exact reference it's maddening. 100 is honestly not that many. Give yourself 2-3 minutes max to draw one hand and do multiple every day as a warmup. You just gotta grind out a ton of them (while also doing slow long studies mixed in where you zero in on specific weak points and fix them).

I have the same issue so I usually redraw the head bigger after. It helps to put a line at the top and bottom before you draw the figure, head touches top line feet bottom line. That way you can't go too big

I think your hand should not go behind the back like in your sketch. You can try it and it's just an awkward pose, especially to hold your weight on, unless done out of desperation. You get a poor grip and your arms cannot exert force properly to pull you back up. Picrel basically. Start the shoulder in line with the other and then bend it inwards with some stress on her biceps.

The way you do it would be fine if she were hanging by a thread of her life or if it were part of a strong motion arc.

Still a beg understanding poses so pardon me if that looks wrong.

came back from an hiatus and i cant do anything at all. I never consistently learned anything and the few gains i had are surly gone already. I just want to draw cute foxes, is learning every muscle group and bone really necessary? Currently standing at picrel with it being 50% a copy anyways.
I get barely any ideas and when i try one of these tutorials it just doesn't look right still and i stop.

as for your question about learning muscle groups, no, theres plenty of artists who do not study anatomy religiously but just look up stuff as they go when they need it. for example if you're mid drawing and unsure how to draw the delts, you can always look it up right there and then. I hate studying, so if you do too, don't force yourself to do it and burn out

You don't need to know detailed realistic human anatomy to draw anime chibis, you just need to know chibi anatomy and stylization tricks to draw chibis.

It's just that often, it's much easier to invent and display new stylized anatomies when you know the full details of human anatomy.

It's like racing game dev. You don't need to know advanced mechanics to make the physics of your game, you only need to know the physics/game logic of the particular stylized genre you want to implement, but if you want to invent new stylizations, you would benefit a lot from understanding mechanics immensely, otherwise you'll end up making a "w/s accelerate/retard and a/d rotate on the y axis" floaty slop.

I suggest starting with Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. It teaches you important draftsmanship concepts and has solid exercises. When you reach the chapter Crossing Over: Experiencing the Shift from Left to Right and draw Igor, apply the same approach to the drawing you just posted.

pay attention to your eyeshape, also the eye/ear features are set too far up in the face making the top half of the skull too small. Personally I tend to try not to have the bottom end of the ear above my nose. this is a common mistake because you are confused by the hair covering up the skull and making you reference eye placement wrong. the eyes are connected to the skull, the hair is connected to the skull, the eyes are not connected to the hair placement.

Good job making different edges for the form and cast shadows, really helps read the picture easier. When it comes to modeling/shading a subject, try not to look at the changes in tone as being separate. It ends up making that subject as if it were built in parts rather than as a whole. For instance the orange pumpkin has been segmented too much even though it blurs into a more flat tone at the stem. For the blue light hitting the shadow, light can only lighten objects. The problem with a strong blue light is that blue is an inherently dark hue, it'll only be a touch lighter than the shadow. It'll look like light due to the sheer saturation difference. Shadows are a lack of light information after all. Also keep reflected light in the shadow family, keep it subtle and restrained.

Most importantly, have fun painting.
