Hm I wouldn’t say that I’m disappointed, really, it’s more a feeling of wondering how in the world that was what they felt like doing with that particular design. The context being that this is a comedic alien like character with big goofy eyes and an androgynous frame with a comedic description that they’ve drawn with big fucking honkers and mood lighting suggesting some sort of dark tragic past. Sometime people will bookmark characters and draw them without double checking stats, works the best at the beginning of the event where people can't check if you're just a slow artist/only do revenges but sometimes even after that some people might just be too lazy to do a quick check

Sometimes I feel like I'm unimpressive for only having one OC (well, I have others, but they're just side characters in my writing and I don't draw them), but jesus fucking christ that actually makes me glad I only have one OC now. Imagine putting all of that love into several OCs and putting extra love into one in particular only for people to latch only one OC and it's not even your favorite one. I can only imagine how that must feel.

Also out of curiosity do you get notified if people view your profile on Artfight?

Havent gotten any actual attacks yet this year, I've gotten two revenges but thats it. I'm still having a lot of fun and feel like I'm improving quite quickly but its pretty disheartening not even getting responses on some of my attacks. Is my art unappealing? or is it my character design?

don't stress over it breh, you're only asking because you're feeling bad otherwise you'd provide your character designs so we can judge them, trust me it'll pass and hopefully you'll get more comments and attacks, also, keep in mind that some people are busy and can't reply immediately

No, but I imagine if you wanted to spend $25 to put a tracking pixel on your profile page it'd work just fine (though you'll just have IPs, not usernames).

I used to spend ages trying to get super clean lines with a g-pen, then switched to a paintbrush and did one-take lines. Turns out I wasn't losing much in quality but it did compress the time taken by like 50%.

- Easy to draw characters, simple concepts
- Having a really different style or concept of attacks, ex ; Making minecraft models, animations or crafts… i see people with 10 attacks get a fucktons of defenses that are revenge bait i guess

Overall, I did way more than last years, more motivated to do more this year thanks to finding a 4chan community. I tried to target players with shared interests/niches, who were low defence and open to revenge and I still struggled to proc attacks (at least one attack is a pity because I hit a 90% ratio at one point). A lot of people burned out.

it was fun! I was very happy to receive the attacks and see other people draw my characters, thats always awesome! Though i kinda feel like my revenges were a little lacking. I was trying to work fast so the quality definitely suffered. My goal was mainly to just do revenges, so I got pretty much everything. I made some connections with some other artists which is fun. I think I'll definitely try to do it again next year if possible.
