I cant stand 99% of podcasts and musik is too distracting because most of the time the songs are either too short and I get random shit songs afterwards or its just repeats until I cant stand it. Even if its a musik playlist I made I will probably be distracted by either skipping or repeating certain songs depending on my mood.

Podcasts, Audiobooks, The News or Talk Radio, Police Bodycam Footage, Vtubers Commenting On Politics, Weird ASMR roleplay, YouTube Video Essays, Whole.shows or movies I've seen dozens of times before. Sometimes I'll play something on repeat all day and add a soundtrack to it while I draw.
Today I queued up a bunch of Wu Tang and put on a season of Cardcaptor Sakura in the background while I drew porn comms for 8 hours.
Fit together pretty good.

Usually audiobooks (horror), because drawing is generally purely mechanical and doesn't distract you from the book. Music as well, but a book is more engaging. I watch movies/shows/etc in the background sometimes too, but not everything is good for that. Big surprise, a lot of movies are better if you actually watch them attentively.

I envy that, I could probably count on 1 hand when time melted away from me when drawing and I became one with my art and I've been drawing for years.

I'm sure it's considered plebeian taste by the big /mu/ heads, but Macroblank and Slowerpace, and all those barbershop/vaporwave/lo-fi beats guys are nice to zone out too. I've been working my way through the massive 24 hour long Macroblank b-side collection (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0Dd684xc2E) for a while, between listening to other things as well.
