not op, but I found success reading perspective made easy and scott robertson's how to draw right after. If you can finish both books, I'm pretty sure you can take just about anything else. Doing anatomy without perspective is hopeless.

After those books, read how to render and take steve huston's figure drawing course at the same time. You should get some good shading fundamentals after that and then continue with the rey bustos anatomy course and the proko course for the clarity of the 3d muscles. See you in 2 years.

It would specifically depend on what you want to learn.

The mullins course is a weird course, it feels more like an illustration course with a focus on planning a painting. If you are brand new to concept art, then the CTRL Paint course is honestly a good starting point.

Personally, i love Kleiner Hai's courses on Learn Squared. His brainstorming techniques are dope.

Illustration wise, I also really enjoyed Karla Ortiz's schoolism workshop. I think they cut it up into a course.

While at the same time studying from Gottfried Bam's book, and Morpho.

I downloaded the course, skimmed all the videos trying to see all the topics it would be teaching, realized, as expected, that it was of lower quality in every topic that it gets into than its non anime counterparts.
I'm genuinely not saying this because of some inherent hate for anime, it just seems like most of the courses that people get excited about in here, in which the artist is an anime artist, are genuinely slop.

I'd say anime artists are actually better, well, animation artists. Drawing a one-off illustration is not hard as hard as having to draw 20-50 drawings with respect to form, remaining on-model and being consistent throughout all 20-50 frames. That shit is hard as fuck.

I got the course, not planning on doing it yet, as I still have to finish the current book I'm in. I did watch like 4 videos and skimmed the rest to see what I'm going to do later on.

The whole course is pretty much Figure Drawing Design and Invention book but in video form. Is still useful if you like some extra explanation and demo. I would say if you get to do the book and the video together then you get a pretty good idea on how to do things at the end.

Also, you don't really draw anime almost ever in the whole course except for like video 18 and the last video.

Manben's way better as a learn to draw manga video series BUT Jump Ryu's great because they chose legendary manga artists while most Manben manga artists are nobodies with a few exceptions like Junji Ito, Inio Asano and the Host, Naoki Urasawa.
I watched both, and I learned a lot more from Manben, but I rec Jump Ryu too, even if it's just as a bonus.
BTW I rec Archipel's youtube channel, there's a few documentaries there that are somewhat similar to Manben, specially the Shinichi one that go well together with its Manben episode.

Han's a great teacher and I learned a lot from his classes but I'm sure that if I started with him I'd give up on drawing.
