They never should've let artists put paper on horizontal tables.
Much like a canvas stand, you should put your paper in a vertical position. If you don't, the top of your piece will be a lot further away from you than the bottom which distorts your perspective and also your poor back will indeed suffer.
Furthermore, the writing grip that's crossed out in picrel can still be useful for details, but if you're drawing on big paper all day, you should also draw from your arm and use more suitable grips as your main ones. Many artists have suffered from tendonitis or other problems that arise from inflexible, straining postures.
With screenless tablets, you don't have to look down while drawing, meaning that there's at least no distortion there but it'll still feel less intuitive than drawing on real paper.
As for screen tablets... There are tablet holders one should invest in if drawing on such a device.
I've never done any of this, I'm an absolute shrimp now, my back hurts so bad, I desperately need to work out but idk if this is even fixable at this point, this hunchback doesn't go away even if I strain myself to stand up straight please take care y'all, do sports and everything, don't become shrimp like me... My neck pain actually goes over to my arm, my doctor said to fix the wrist pain I also have to work on my back problems, he claimed that I can still be saved but I'm not so sure. The hunchback will probably stay but maybe the pain will get better...
