>>7663998>Now we're getting a bit excessive.Only if you use markers on multiple kinds of paper. I know I only use two types with mine, unless I'm just fucking around. But it's useful to see the bleed characteristics and so on.
>This only works with copics, right?Yes but it's extremely powerful. You just scan the marker barcode into it, can make a wishlist, track if you have ink or not, and they expanded it to include some additional information on the markers + all their multiliners and other shit.
The best thing is that I can take an image a client has given me, put it in the app, and then use it to color match markers to make it accurate to the piece. Or use other images, or my own photos.
>For the price of 3 copics I can get a box of 40 cheap markers.I value consistency and I don't buy chinese products if I have other options. I also buy on sale or volume discounts, and dig through clearance bins a lot. I also found that copic alcohol ink is around the same price as other "premium" alcohol inks like Tim Holtz. So I can use it for multiple things.
I normally prioritize classics because I like the square barrel and the yuge ink reservoir, but I got about 15 ciaos recently from a clearance bin for 2USD each. They're a bit more of a pain to use since the cap doesn't say the number, and they hold less ink, but at that price it was a steal. The normal price makes them not worth it vs the others. But if I want to upgrade and switch specific ones to classics or sketch later I can, or I can just buy the same ink and endlessly refill these since the nibs work similarly to the sketch nibs.
