Can any wise anons give me any tips or tricks to gain traction as a artist on tiktok. I already post my art on twitter and newgrounds to some success. I dont know the first thing about tiktok besides that its a cancer to the youth. Are there any particular ways an artist can use it to effectivly build a audience?

have you considered just killing yourself for using tiktok?

It's hard because you never know what's going to get popular. Pretty girls, speedpaints, catching trends, using trending audio, post old art vs new art, etc. There isn't really a benefit to using TikTok unless you're also posting onto Youtube too
If you're in the US, then they are making a US-only Tiktok which will really harm your reach anyway.

See art trends in tiktok, meme drawings, meme animation/animatics. And be as fast as you can at drawing. I f*ck myself for being slow at drawing.

I have one tiktok drawing that has roughly 70 times the engagement as any other drawing I have up.

Isn't tik tok just girls doing stupid, no effort dances with their juggs jiggling for their "freedom of expression?" and just random 2sec videos? are you speed drawing/painting? timelapse maybe can work but why? tiktok seems the worst to post static drawings.

My sites from most interaction to least interaction go Deviant Art, Pixiv, Twitter, Instagram, NewGrounds and Tumblr. Consider building up your audience in non-algorithm sites Deviant Art, Pixiv and NewGrounds and then promote your algorithm based sites TikTok, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr there to let the algorithm learn to whom to push you.
