I daresay so-called "art" of such provocative nature shall surely be the downfall of polite society. There was a time when masters of brush and oil would tantalise with implication, but now there be an overabundance of such base works as this, depicting all manner of frills, garters, stockings, cuckholdry, and thinly-veiled foot obsession. This piece ought to be thrown atop a pyre that it shan't corrupt the impressionable youth of our time, and the deviant who painted it should fit the gallows nicely and be left to rot. Besides, the lighting is nonsense, the anatomy is deformed, and the expressions appear to be scrawled by an apprentice. This hedgeborn heathen clearly hasn't studied Rembrandt. It seems to be a garden fence, similar to what is below the hidden man on the left.
It's probably being used to keep debris from clogging the drainage system (beneath the man on the right) - and it seems to be doing it's job well.
