Make sure everything's moving in an arc/circle/figure8, experiment a lot with slowin/slowout, smear frames are the secret sauce that will help you visualise motion, individual frames can be super deformed as long as they service the overall movement, which leads into what the other guy said about doing lots of gesture drawing -- it's the most important foundational practice for expressive animation.

double size is a good standard, lets you do zooms and pans without worrying about resolution for most shots. can go smaller for more static shots, and larger as needed

But does anyone have any info about Disney's Sketchbook series?
On usual pirate sites, we have sketch collection books for:

here are some points:
watch your timing and spacing. the spacing in particular is a bit too even. try making it snappier and work with slow in/slow out.

Also watch out for keeping the volume the same, especially when you use squash and stretch like you do.

Lastly, did you animate on 2s? I think you can add some frames which are on 1s here.

Thank you, I tried to follow your advice on this one. The idea I had in my head was a ball that started slow then accelerated into a squished pancake, then the pancake would accelerate back up into the ball. How'd it turn out?
I also understand what you meant by the volume thing, I'll try not to do that when it applies. But I had to keep the volume in this one for the effect I wanted I think.

That's the thing- it's not something you can reference. When you animate, you have to be somewhat of a magician, in the sense that you are selling an illusion. 1000+ artists have already done the flour sack exercise as is tradition, so the answer to your question including "without copying what another artists did" is tricky, but consider that (as far as I know) there are no living flour sacks for anyone to reference in terms of movement, but we have actual ones.
Where does the weight reside? where does it fold? What parts are loose and what parts are under tension? Does it bounce? Would it? Should it? How would it move if there were no flour inside? What if it had too much? Would it roll?
consider concepts like body language, as in portraying emotions like fear, happiness, anguish, embarrassment, or anger into an object that has no face, mouth, or voice. The exercise is not only a testament to observations of a mundane object, but also to your own creativity.

if you use a software for animation or something similar to after effects to sfx only. its pretty simple, here is the basics:

1. Make the cum animation in an separate unique layer.

2. Save as a easy to modify image format that can have a transparent background that the animation/edit effects software that you will use can read.

3. Using the effects panel of the software of your choice, open the file in the timeline in the middle. open a new layer above this timeline. make sure these two layers are in the same folder. set the new layer as SFX layer.

4.Apply Screen Blending effect in the sfx layer to affect the animation.

5. Using the soft round brush you erase frame by frame the parts you want to be more transparent or use a mask effect and the blur some parts of the semen.

this is how i would do but honestly its up to the each person how to do this process.

I would recommend The Animator's Survival Kit. You don't have to work through the whole book, but he makes good points about timing and spacing. He's really good at illustrating the differences and importance of it all. I think you can find the book and his video courses in some OP link I believe.
You might also just check out youtube.
Last, but not least, when you have read up about it, you need to give it a try in order to get the feeling for it. Do some simple things and play around. Finally share your tests here or somewhere else online to get feedback.
