what yall need is discipline
you think that the way to draw scenes like that is that you make a loose sketch and get at it with the colours and dont think too much, just somehow feel it out right? I used to think that too, but there are so much more you can do to get a greater control of your work process
I'm guessing you want to put in all you can, that those are not simple casual sketches, or else you wouldnt feel this way right?
the thing is its more in the head, what you need to do is plan it all out
the scene itself, everything that makes up the scene, the colours, the lighting or at least what you know and can use, what tools you have, whats the most that you can do with em and what is it that you cant, in what order are you gonna draw the whole thing, what sort of strokes you can use to convey the kinds of details you want to put on the image,
write everything down, try to get the best you can, so you actually save the ideas you might have, and then get back to it
thats how drawing works, its not just sketching around without thinking until you have a good painting, most good stuff probably has meticulous planning, while this might sound bad, it really isnt, and part of this stuff will eventually become muscle memory as you go on about getting better
i dont think you're lazy you're just misguided about what you think is the way others do art, or how art is supposed to be done
