Social media destroyed artists?
> Was a beginner artist, drawing almost every day
> Start to post arts at social media
> Get frustrated with "muh algorithm" and "le imaginary haters"
> Stop drawing for yeare, erase all social media and works
> Find old IRL friends that draw and start to interact with them
> Joy of drawing and will to practice start to return, even having few time to practice

Is right to say that social media is destroying the creative potential of the artists, even the hobbyists?

Some reasons i can list are:
> Unecessary distractions, impostor syndrome
> Necessity of posting complete arts every single day (Classic artists took even years to do their masterpieces)
> Fear of testing different techniques and themes (the slop of the moment because muh likes)

What are your opinions arround this question?

people need validation and feedback, and it's best if they get it from friends, mentors, family, etc
if you don't have those, you'll start to look for it in numbers and all sorts of pointless shit

It's really just all about mindset, anon. You can have that internet life the same as an IRL one, you just have to have the same expectations of it.

its a thing that happens with not just art , comparisons and need for validation , imposter syndrome , need to comply to some invisible boundaries.
its good to overcome such problem in ur life regardless if u an artist or not .

Everyone that says this kind of thing has really ugly, uninteresting work. You just aren't good.

Yes, imaginary numbers and meaningless metrics have stifled a lot of creativity in the grave as people smother any interest they had in the hopes of bigger number. I don't know anyone who'd contest that.

When you start to think of your own work as content, as just asset production, as any other dickless corporate social metric speak you've already lost a giant part of your soul. It's no wonder that the endless oceans of mediocre fanart have been so readily contested by AI.

Maybe. Ever since everyone moved to twitter everything went to shit, not like it was any good back in tumblr, but it was a completely different feeling. I still miss going into random artists tumblr pages, seeing it all decorated with backgrounds and donation buttons. 2016 was the last good year before everything went to shit and trannies and moralfags just barged in everywhere online destroying any fun that people had sharing their work.
The whole race for likes and attention was always a thing though, but if you're just a soulless husk obsessed more with numbers than creating are you even an artist? You did good for logging off for a while.

Not just creativity, but pretty much everything.
Social media is extremely cancerous and imo one of the biggest mistakes in human history

sure but we circled back so hard that now if you're not a full on hedonist and don't jerk off in public, you're deemed a moralfag, because the ones who wanted to have "fun" pushed boundaries until they attracted people who have no concept of boundaries

this whole thing right now is a jewish plot to remove privacy so they can demonetize your anti israeli ass. theres been too much pushback by the goycattle THEY imported for cheap labour. how ironic. its like those dumb kikes dont follow their own fairytales, golem turning against the master and all that.

Are you on social media? Half of what I see are WIPs and established artists reposting Old work. Yeah you may have to do some fotm shit every now and then but EVERY job has shit. Classic artists made paintings they did not care about for money, that's life.

That being said, yeah social media warps your reality and makes you compete with soul less monsters. There's a difference from being an artist on social media and a Social media Artist (insta/twitter artist)

Here i'll answer your questions
>unnecessary distractions
Tf does that mean. Do you pause when drawing to scroll on socmed? Why do that
>necessity of posting everyday
Who told you you have to post everyday? I post when i feel like it. My followers can suck it up not like they care about my frequency anyway
>fear of testing other things
Idk man im satisfied in my own lane i dont bother learning new stuff anymore. Maybe one day but im good for now

15k followers btw
