this is cool in terms of effort but i can honestly see why the naked girl from reference got a lot more attention, texturing and colors are good in the dragon piece but by god is it really flat, there's no real sense of structure or anatomy on the dragon, with even the texturing reading like some sorta weird photobashing because its seemingly not affected by the light or the clearly stablished atmospheric perspective,the hills in the lake in the foreground also just look extremely flat considering the horizon line, like actual sprite billboards
its soulful and i like it but the focal point is undeniably just not that attractive and it kinda cheapens the whole piece to a general audience compared to a well rendered figure

Yep, I agree, spent a total of 63 h on it, its made out of 2.073.600 pixels, I tried to bite more than my patience can chew on with that size, in my perspective a piece is as good as how much time you want to spend on it to some degree, I might get back to that piece someday and invest more time to make it right.
Wouldn't recommend anyone trying smth like this unless they just wanna experiment with a huge size.
