Playing your music loudly,
Speaking loudly on the phone,
Speaking loudly in general,
Not simply sitting or staying still,
Fucking Busking or putting on a performance,
Generally bothering other people because you're oh-so-important...

So yeah, drawing is by far one of the least pretentious, attention seeking acts you can do on a train... well unless you're shoving the drawing in people's faces or something.

I drew this dang ice cream cup in the train. It was a 7h ride, I had a table and no people were close. I don't feel bad.

I love when autistic nerds quietly seethe at me when I'm drawing in public but are too chickenshit to do anything about it so they're just fuming and passively poisoning themselves, gives me such a boner

drawing outside means you're not hypervigilant which means you're a fucking normie so you can't create art anyways.

All depends on your stance.

You can draw openly on your lap and look like you're trying to be some sort of philosopher, making everyone think you're a pretentious asshole.

You can hunch over your work and sketch furiously, making people think you're a creep.

Or you can just sit normally and sketch with a decent posture and surprise surprise, everyone will just think you're drawing and get on with their lives like you should be doing.

Retards no one pays attention to people drawing on trains except autists, you can do it freely. Everyone just thinks you're doodling. Just as a student studying flashcards or someone writing on a small notebook, there's no attention-seeking to be found

Years and years back when I was like 14 or something (I don't remember exactly) there was this goth looking woman in the seat infront of me drawing.
She drew naked curvy figures of woman. I don't remember much of her but I remember the drawings having not all that much detail and the shoulder hip and waist being just 2 lines. Two very thick lines she drew
That was the only time I saw anyone draw in public

I had a goal of wanting to Draw guts by memory so I drew him every day. One night drunk while going home on a train I had my music blasting drawing guts, and some black girl said "I thought you were drawing guts" as she went to the other cart. I was way too wasted to comprehend it until later, but it seems that people do pay attention, but a lot of people are non confrontational about it.
