Araki's artstyle should've never went past Part 4's. It was perfect.

That's wrong though. His art is better now than ever. Storywise though, SBR and Stone Ocean were the best.

I don't feel it's less expressive. That aside, the lines are cleaner, the compositions are better, the stand designs are leagues better and not mostly just "muscly armored guy".

I sped read through it once the feng shui stand was introduced most the characters didn't have memorable quirks or attributes to make them stick imo. Didn't even bother to watch the anime

I think 5 to 7 was Araki at his best, but anyone who says that late part 7 and Jojolion were a downgrade in his artstyle are simply wrong and read neither. The backgrounds, the details, the stands, the character design, and pretty much everything else is much better. The same-face syndrome is true to an extend, but that's a thing that only happens in the covers (and even then, that's just him imitating fashion magazines from the 90s and early 2000#) and in some rare cases in the manga where Araki tries to draw someone's face in detail, but the rest of the manga isn't like that and there are goofy faces everywhere and everyone's his own character.
