Finished this up! After time myself 3 hours per panel what I can say is "Painterly Celshade" is a pretty good turn around time for me!

What do these artists study, or rather what should I study, to go from the average figure drawing done from a reference to exaggerated proportions like this? Any recommended books or courses?

I don't know if this is better suited for /beg/ since it's a learning question or here since it's related to stylized sexual artwork, sorry.

thanks, although its a study of genshin character so it tend to have a complex design. the timelapse doesn't make it clear, but I made a lot of experiments, the drawing took 9 hours.

The coloring looks really good, I like how soft the shadings are on the fringes of her breasts. The coloring and typesetting has a completed product feeling to them and its surprisingly difficult to achieve.

I experimented with both in this drawing but it isn't made clear because how fast the timelapse is going. Although generally I use gray color lined and then change to multiply when I starts coloring.

You study basic anatomy, then you experiment.
If you don't know the basics, you won't know how to exaggerate.

Wanna do pocket sized pinup sketches in a A6 sized sketchbook. Main problem is I don't know what to study cause I can't help but find a million problems so I get paralyzed with choices. So with that said I'm open to critique or suggestions even on what to work on next for this sort of thing.

Great style and rendering. It's a shame you botched the foreshortening on her left leg.
It should bend at the knee with the lower leg being foreshortened, not bent at the lower leg.

I'm really proud of the linework in this one, sadly my coloring skills are horrible, also the face is a little off but I can't pinpoint what it is, she looks dead inside

I spent like 2 hours on colouring each. While drawing things between. How much time is too much to spend on a single piece? How am I meant to accrue mileage and practice with rendering and blending if I drop something at the flat colour stage?
