I have some art supplies that, while perfectly usable, I don't enjoy that much, they're not my favorite tools. At the moment they're just wasting space and gathering dust. They're often cheap or lightly used so selling them doesn't make sense.

Should I just force myself to use them up, so they aren't wasted or should I just focus on using tools that I actually like?

Being wasteful with art supplies feels bad, but using bad art supplies doesn't feel good either.

My stuff is too unbalanced for larger scenes, the values off, and in general a bit samey. The only things i do, is to always hue shift and saturate more the darker the value gets (aside from bounced light i suppose). Which gives it that adhd zoomer without subtlety look.

Also, I'm a beg, but as a viewer the bottom line is just logically gross. Thinner and broken lines give a rounder appearance, but that alone is still distrubing, so just erase the right side as if the lighting erases details. the end result is more pleasing.

You could do any of these:
1. Create a layer beneath your lineart, increase your brush size and fill the space within manually. Which i would recommend in general, as you will most likely want to use colours that arent only within the constraints of your lineart.
2. Duplicate your lineart layer, go to the lower one of the two, fill the space, and then click onto the filled space over and over again, until the white seams vanish.
3. Use the lasso tool, trace your lines, and use the fill tool afterwards.
All of these expect you to have drawn your lines on a separate layer from the background, if you didnt do so, please do it next time.

Well I was drawing gestures to help me understand gesture, not form. I think it's pretty easy to disregard everything you've done before something clicks but it clicking is a culmination of all those things. 100 gestures isn't even a lot y'know? One minute poses that's a little over an hour and half.

Zinc helped me a lot, but i was deficient, i dont know where you live and how expensive it is, but try to get a broad blood test. Maybe zinc isnt needed even, or you should go for a lower dose. Im sure you are aware of such things, just wanted to point it out. Good luck on your journey-!
It really depends on your hair type, but here are some other things that might help you, im still testing out stuff, and i think i want to cut my hair shorter again, mine just isnt wavy enough when longer, and i personally despise styling hair. https://files.catbox.moe/axxgd6 png. The stuff that helped me: Using less conditioner per shower, only reducing it to every 2/3 days, with a hair mask once per week, although i have that weak central european hair type, it doesnt apply to others that well, cold showering and never using hot air, Zinc, Biotin, Collagen (maybe?), Omega 3, Some weird birch water tonic i use after showering (its most likely hocus pocus, but the smell is nice), fin, and maybe some other of my supplements, but im not sure if they actually have an effect.

Not sure but I use gesture for the initial construction then try to add structure and even exaggerate that a bit more to keep the figures from looking stiff, then there's movement in general which you indicate with clothes and hair lagging behind the character's movement or action(think i took that from animation rules or something) and for the horse thumbnail it's also a simple composition moving from left to right which pushes the eye forward creating more movement I suppose, but i can't tell you rules exactly since i wing a lot of stuff, i just draw what i picture in my head and try to fix it afterwards with references and perspective.

How does one paint digitally? I feel stuck. For one, there is techniques (See image). I feel like whatever I do, things end up being streaky. What kind of magic does everyone else use? I'm using Krita, if that matters.
For the second part, there is general mindset. I feel like I just can't let go of drawing lines, no matter what I try. It feels like I cant get any details when trying to paint, everything feels to general and blobby. Do you start with a lined sketch in that case? But then my dilemma is, when you paint over the sketch you also paint over the details you were planning and you end up having to guess where they were. And if you put the lineart/sketch layer over the painting, it feels like I'm just painting in areas like in a colouring book, and as soon as I delete my sketch layer everything looks terrible. I know this is a bit of a rambling but I hope someone understands what I am going through here.

Sorry your post is getting buried under this /pol/ shit - I know where you're at and exactly what you're talking about. Making the jump from drawing to painting was really difficult at first for me, too. There's a certain mindset you have to use for painting that's separate from drawing; you have to shift your eye from seeing lines and details to seeing shapes and light. Painter brain works differently because you stop penciling in every detail and your drawings will start to come out messy and unrefined. You have to push through that a little bit to see the bigger picture, even if it means losing explicit details.
A good technique to consider is using underpaintings. Set your lineart to about 60% opacity and set the paint to about 50%, and then just paint in gray or sepia. Youll be able to see a faint underdrawing and the underpainting will help you block in your values without losing your lines.
Another good technique is the use of clipping masks; if you want to incorporate your linework into the painting as a hard edge, use a clipping mask to paint the lines in different hues so they mesh with the surrounding paint. This works especially well if you have a lot of detail lines you want to keep but don't want to repaint over again. Hope this helps

I'm a tradchad so I can't help much with the digital part. Try different brushes and blending settings or use the airbrush tool to help soften the edges.
For painting, you have to think of how light hits the object you're working on and how to portray form. Drawing is more focused on edges. You should use the lines of a painting as guidelines of where to apply values. With digital, you can always go back and check your sketch on another layer.
Reference helps if you don't understand how light would interact with what you're painting. Asaro heads are helpful to understand the planes of the face and how light interacts with them at different angles.

Block everything with a pencil that has no blending and 100% density into value groups -2 light and shadow, then a third one for midtones, 4th and 5th for reflective light and shadow occlusion.
Blend the edges with a brush, three types of edges hard, soft and lost, most edges are soft, even the hard ones you'll want to go a bit over so they're not pencil sharp. Add highlights at the end.
