If you had two years to become a master artist or the world would explode, you would find a way to make it happen. You would seek out mentors, you would take art classes, you would constantly grill /ic/ for feedback, you would practice and study like a maniac. Given that fact, you should recognize how much you are underperforming and take it to the next level. You can approach your goals five times faster, maybe ten times faster, than you currently are.

Yes that's true. Going faster is not always good though If you are rushing.

>just grind and grind so you can gamble on becoming yet another pornfag while being forced to swim in a sea of shit
if any of you had a real goal, you would pursue it
but we all know that your "goals" are to be famous and make money, doesn't matter the slop you might be willing to produce

if you had a mentor and art classes, grilling /ic/ for feedback would be fucking self sabotage

they wouldn't jail me in 2 years over debt, but in this world the world isn't ending in 2 years and I cannot afford to hustle as hard as I can.
All I can do is 4 hours a day. And I admit I spend one of those shitposting here.
Anonymous No.7713522
I know how through self-teaching, not telling you though, and yes it does involve drawing, a lot of drawing, but it's smarter than that. I'm actually going through it. No I'm not posting my work, get fucked.

The greatest struggle in art isn't figuring out how to draw well. it's figuring out how to express yourself since once you hit it big you essentially become a brand.

no I wouldn't, I'd be doing backflips knowing my suffering will end in two years.

What does it even mean to "be a master artist"? What's the test that comes out positive if and only if you are a master artist?

i'd let the world explode, live comfortably for 1 year and rape as many girls as possible in the remaining time

A fucking Dunning-Kruger wrote that post, they do not understand what they're saying. Being called a "Master" is a marketing thing, no one would call themselves that seriously. Professional artist? That's more clear. Professional full-time artist? Closer towards a goal. Master artist is dumb as fuck and is never used outside of promotions and normies who don't know any better.

I think you underestimate how a good deal of people would legitimately just let the world explode. Especially those who flock to sites like this which thrive on idling, degeneracy and cultural decay.

I suppose being apathetic is somewhat morally corrupt, but I think it goes something like a good deal chronically online people are legitimately apathetic about everything because of the oversaturation of doom content. You go onto a forum like 4chan and that condenses even more so as the people who visit here are generally in the lows of their life. perma neets, unemployed, trolls, bored college students, retired and bored old people, people on disability, brainrotted gooners, etc. I think most people would probably rise to the call of action, but I think the chances of that reduces as the populations become more niche.

If the world explodes, that's really more the world's problem than mine. Like 8 billion parts the world's problem, 1 part mine. Therefore I should care one eight-billionth about it, which rounds off to zero.
Is that degenerate, or is that looking at the situation objectively?

>>7713694
What's the minimum amount of mastery you need to have for that? Couldn't you just go forum shopping until you find the three professionals with the lowest standards for calling someone a master?
Anonymous No.7717869
Let the world explode probably, best and I mean best case scenario, you can water down the word "Master" into meaning someone who kind of paints how the old masters did. That's a retarded way of thinking too, because those masters were
1. Guild certified finishing their journeyman ship after years of apprenticeship which let them get licensed to start their own studios, begin undertaking large works and commissions requiring pupils to restart the cycle.
2. Almost all masters that we think of now are all handpicked out of a few. Most if not all art canon artists after the academy fell were a bunch of people who just liked to paint.
SO. With that in mind the best I could do is at best one good painting after grinding from models and plates all day.
If that isn't good enough I'd let the world just explode.
>you would find a way to make it happen.
No, no I wouldn't art isn't just something you grind to death it is the attainment of knowledge, practicable, something that is exponentially closer to "Eureka!" Moments than it is to the act of just practice, the amount of time and effort it takes over the years is something that happens because it needs to rather than out of laziness like some people think.
>>7713627
This probably, if I were starting NOW and a giant space creature came and told me this, I would realistically just do this and tell it to go fuck itself, it's retarded ass would probably believe it too.

what do you consider a master artist? could easily trace and paint over instathots and look impressive to normies in a few weeks. painting is also very easy to get to a normie 'OMG' level. could have you doing ghibli gouache paintings in a day with ease. just do some traceable or print out rough image you want and paint over. very easy and few weeks youd have some basic perspective to do the landscapes/backgrounds with ease to a level people would be incredibly impressed. to draw would take years.
