Only here, but I use twitter to follow artists, and I have seen plenty of dick head comments on most pieces of art.
I was commenting less about myself, but in a general sense, I'm sure there are plenty of weak willed people who get crushed by even small amounts of internet criticism, who would have been better served building confidence in their art elsewhere before posting online.
After all, every website is known to have its fair share of assholes.
But I do have my own eccentricities when it comes to posting online - I don't like people commenting on my work in general; positive comments feel insincere, and negative comments are.. well, obviously negative.
It's probably why I like posting here, because everything will be wiped out in time, rather than perpetually connected to an account which people may follow.
But I recognise that's just me being skitzo.
Anyway, my point is... uh... 'everybody is different' or something?
