OP's talking about animation like it's an extension of drawing, when in reality you could be an atelier master in drawing but a /beg/ in animation. They're not the same and there's a reason why animation schools aimed at 3D guys still take years to teach just animation with not much focus on 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, if they touch on this stuff at all. Animation isn't just movement, it's also acting, cinematography, and other stuff.
Even Proko failed animation despite studying it for 4 years in high school, so he went into Watts Atelier as a consolation prize.
