How is this surprising to anybody? The song he uses in Death Stranding 2 "INVISIBLE" By Duran Duran uses AI in their music video. I mean, many of his games are focused around the intersection between technology and humanity. I'd venture to say that he even has a healthy take on AI contrary to what jeets or chinks believe about simply using AI to replace their creative input. AI is a tool that can augment artists, but as I'm sure we're all aware, with every powerful new technology, there will always be countless more ways to abuse and misuse it than there are to use it with good intentions. Where some see AI as a means of replacing out humanity, I think he sees it as a way of affirming our humanity.

We live in a society and despite the various religions, cultures and economic systems lot of things are generally the same, so if the tech can’t even work within these simple basic confidence baked into out DNA then it’s a bad tech full stop. Wishing for a tech that could in the hands of jeets or technojews spell your doom is at best a monkey paw and at worst total retardation. Some technology is just bad and some is good, and tech that replaces creativity and verifiable evidence with slop is bad no matter how you spin it.

two problems I always have with this wishful thinking: 1. if AI can do the "tedious" parts, it can also do the "exciting" things and 2. the line seems arbitrary, what you think is "uncreative" work that doesn't matter may actually be full of opportunities for creative decisions
2 is especially important for "idea" men like kojima. people that never bothered to do the work before will happily let a machine do it without realizing how much they're missing by not colaborating with an actual human being or by doing it themselves
