This guy was like me back when I was in the 2-3 years of drawing, when I decided to 'draw seriously'. He's not really gonna accomplish anything if all he did is practice. He has to pick up a project that'll make use of everything he knows up to that point, finish those projects in about a day. Then move on and draw something else, and then try something new. Keep on drawing the same stuff without trying something new or taking a step back and just relax for a bit could take you somewhere but it'll just take long ass time.

People think to draw well you need to have perfect construction and follow it exactly, like construction is the main ingredient a dish that is a drawing. But the truth is all you need is Form and observation. construction is just one way to achieve form but it doesn't make your drawings good. He needs to ditch the construction and keep it all in his mind while he directly draws and copies.

There's a path that they took that may or may not be available to you, there's also the type of artist that you innately are you may be fighting against your own instincts (Though you ought to try all forms of learning to learn all the tools because maybe you're more of another type you haven't discovered yet) Some people are immense planners and others like to start with blobs/blur and slowly chip at it until it looks like what they want.

Not really. Drawing is a solved problem, there's only one good way to do it. After thousands of years we've come to the conclusion that chipping away from a blur (building on top of layers) is the best way, and all our technology supports this method. If you try something else you're just being retarded. It's not just drawing that works this way, absolutely everything works this way. I don't think you understand what I'm saying. With planning and working from a blur you can start with a sketch/underpainting the problem is how comfortable you are getting to the result you want. Drawing has a ton of wiggle room for mistakes still looking believable so whether you like to tightly construct everything (which is one school of art) Or you just need to put gestures down in places because over thinking the construction can complicate your vision finding the right balance for you specifically is key. What I did forget to mention it's not about learning how to Draw, but learning how to learn if you're doing this without a school/atelier.

This is absolute beg logic. Copying the process of a proffesional is the worst advice for learning how to draw- now if you're talking about some art resource youtuber yeah you can learn from watching a couple of vids. Blatantly copying some artist who's had years of experience going through trial and error in order to make what they're doing look easy, you're gonna be frustrated because yours won't turn out that way.. or learn nothing because you just copied without thinking (either one will grow your skill some though) Look at what thread you're in.
