Should've started as early and often in life as possible or been born with the right genetics, its for the best

It’s insanely, mind-fuckingly hard. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to learn in my life. Maybe it’s just because I have a STEM brain, idk. Lots of other people manage to learn it just fine even if they’re not hyper-talented.
I’m not giving up though, I’m in for the long haul. 7 years of pure failure and still going. At this point there’s no longer any question of giving up. Just quiet resignation.

i know this post is bait but what do you mean be born with the right genetics? i can't imagine many physical attributes that would change the way you draw stuff (aside from motor disabilities but we both know that's not what he meant)

People are obviously talented at different things.
Some people are born with great potential for drawing and some people are born bad at it.

>have a STEM brain
Not a real thing.
>people are born with great potential
Neither is this.
People are brought up differently, choose different skills and focus on different skills while learning - not always consciously - but none of it has anything to do with genetics. If you put in effort, you will improve, everything else is excuses.

Sorry you had your brain poisoned by liberal propaganda where they taught you that we're all blank slates with unlimited potential, but, they taught you wrong.

Now tell that to the paraplegic girl that wants to be a ballerina.

I gave up too. When I realized you can get more likes by posting someone elses art and putting some random words on it. and then calling it your own.
Anonymous No.7776976 [Report]
I can't believe zoomers have been so brainrotted that they care more about "likes" than about actually doing the thing itself
Anonymous No.7776987 [Report]
zoomers have been socially conditioned to think like narcissists, so of course anything they do is for the sake of social success.
Likes or other type of meaningless public metrics, are the most available thing they can aim for without requiring any intelligence to do so.

I don't believe in talent like people in this place talk about it, but you are retarded if you think that there is no sort of actual material, real, thing which makes certain people more likely to excel in certain things than others.

If we were all born equal then things like lead poisoning, when it lowers your IQ, wouldn't affect people's potentials, or their behaviour, but it does, we know this.

Just like certain people are better long distance runners due to their muscles while others are genetically predisposed to be better at strength, different brains are 100% better than others at certain tasks.

The real answer is that just like just because you will never compete in the olympics, or be a professional athlete, but can still get into the top 1-5% through hard work, in art you can do exactly the same. You'll never be a Michaelangelo, but you will still be able to reach professional level to some degree, you might rely on reference more, might have to copy and steal more, but it's possible.

Pyw because I'm curious what 7 years got you.

You are like a baby. Come back when you've crossed the threshold of at least a decade, then you'll seriously be questioning yourself when you see others draw better, faster, and more appealing than you when they've barely just started kek.

Questioning what I did to deserve this, maybe. I don’t think it’s possible for me to quit at this point though. This is my punishment from God, this is my penance.
