Great job—that’s a win. Keep up the momentum, naughty boy.

Just write a to do list for the shit you wanna get done and do it the next day. Do not do anything that releases a ton of dopamine before finishing the list.

2-3 hours a day is a good goal to aim for

how? When I have a good day drawing, the next day my brain thinks "you already did that" even if I want to draw. Its like showering twice in a row, it makes no sense.

no one starts with a marathon when going for a run, but you should aim to steadily increase it. you also shouldnt forget to take breaks inbetween sessions and days of practice as well, like the jews do on shabbat. gotta recharge those batteries every once and a while and also take in the world and look for new inspiration. keep at it, faggot

I’ve also noticed this every-other-day thing with drawing. It’s a real pain, I wish I could just switch it off.

I'm gonna sit dow. And try to start and finish a sketch for a drawing today. Tomorrow I'll try to finish it. We can do it.

yes, if I have a great 4 hour drawing session, I need to doomscroll for 4 hour and then goon for 4 hours. How do I stop?

The dopamine thing has been fucking me for a while now. I start happy drawing and the next day it looks like shit and I just get depressed.

Aiming to finish a few parts a session is a good idea, though untested on my side.

That's the thing. You write down that you're gonna work on it for an hour, and then you're just gonna do that. You're not gonna finish it, you're not gonna try to fix it, you're just gonna work on it for an hour. At some point you are gonna finish it though, and it's at that point that you judge whether it actually was good or not, not when you've barely started it.
