Pressure is a meme
Most of the time I see people wrestling redrawing the same fucking shit 10 times in a row with pressure sensing on.
I disable that shit for 90% of the brushes I fucking use. The only time pressure sensing is good is for opacity, everything else is a meme.

let me guess you use the binary brush poorly like every other wannable ms paint slopper on this board.

Translation: I am a retarded sour grapes begtard that can't be bothered to put the effort to learn how to use pen pressure

the fact that you don't know how to use it doesn't make it bad

Not an argument, just insults.
Digital has the superior advantage that it is NOT traditional media.
The only advantage traditional has over digital, at present, is fluid physics which computers suck at, so painting in very fluid media is automatically better IRL.
The only time I ever see people defend it is people wasting time streaming themselves doing their 801st Pokemon card and taking 5 hours to draw a lineart, not actual work.
>guuuuys drawing is soooo hard, it takes so much effort I'm so indecisive!!!
No you suck and waste time which is why you are jobless streaming to 1.5 people on Twitch.

Anyone who wants consistency and speed turns it off and every stroke, every texture, is deliberate and placed with love, not some shitty RNG texturing system controlled by pressure.
Pressure sensing only has one use for anyone with a brain - sketches.

What does trad have to do anything? Take your meds, silly beg. All decent artists know how to use pen pressure and most of them use it.

>most of them use it
Most of them suffer with it because they fell for the pressure meme.

Nah, that's the case only if they're begs

Anonymous No.7784329 [Report] >>7784835
the redpill is you should be using a high output soft pressure sensitivity curve

You can keep throwing "begs" around, whatever the fuck that means, it still doesn't change the fact your 17 trillion pressure sensitivity levels are a meme.
You seem to be confused in thinking that I am OP, I legit don't even know what that fucking software is.
If you are relying on pressure sensitivity with RNG textured brushes you're no different to an AI slopper.
Real artists place every single stroke deliberately and with care.

pick up a pencil or even a ball point pen and draw on paper
what do you see?
what does it feel like?
you don't need brushes or fountain pens to feel the impact of pressure and line weight variation on drawing and painting. it's just going to be there and you will naturally take advantage of it on traditional mediums
you can definitely draw very interesting digital art without pressure or line weight variation
but it will probably not look or even feel as good

try some trad watercolors, OP
they might cure your anal-retentive autism

Unless your tablet screen has one of those friction matte plastic layers on it, it's going to be conflicting regardless.
You can't feel that same momentum you do without that layer on top, it's not going to translate the same way.
The only thing you can go off of is visuals at that point, and I guess how your arm feels, the learned muscle memory.

Fluid physics don't translate at all to digital.
It's the only advantage traditional has over digital.
For now at least, recent breakthroughs in fluid physics sims were made that makes it not a lagfest. That will eventually trickle in to software in a few years or so when it gets made in to a nice tidy package for devs to use.

In my experience this argument is moot because some people have a pen touch as light as a feather and some people write like they’re trying to carve the shapes on the page. Pen touch is one of things that depends on individual personality since nobody will really teach it to you but it can be learned. It’s just that some people go through life thinking their way to hold a pen is the only way

I need pressure variance to hide my shit lines. When I turn it off, my lines look like they were drawn in an earthquake.

Skill issue, just become a messy line artist
Even better, claim your art pieces were legit drawn IN earthquakes, who the fuck is gonna verify it?
That's a selling point right there
