This is a good and well drawn concept but it would benefit tremendously from some perspective. any advice on how I can find my own art style?

Sorry, I posted this towards the end of the previous thread, forigve me for reposting it. And hopefully it doesn't double post again.

Saw a cute pose/energy I wanted to try and replicate for a cheerleading pose, I think I got a good portion of the energy but I want to ask how I can push the pose, or if there are spots/areas I need to fix. I'm already seeing that I think I need to make her arms a little thicker. My biggest concern is the foot placement to be honest, I know I made mine more "straight" than the reference piece, and I tried to double check the center of balance to correct it.

Any advice and redlining would be greatly appreciated!

Can I ask why? The reference pose looks energetic because it really pushes the hips and chest. By making it straighter, you lose a lot of that energy.
Also, while yours still has some of that general flow, it's also a lot less interesting, cause the curves of the chest and hip in yours are pretty similar, while in the reference, they are different, which makes it more interesting to look at.

Forms are 3d objects. If you find it too hard to grasp them, try starting with 2d shapes first. What you need to train in the absence of intuition is mental vision.
You vould try this exercise (image left side): Get a ruler. Draw 3 straight lines fairly spaced apart. Take one side of each and make simple shapes with
1: paralell and perpendicular lines.
2: angled/jagged lines
3: curved lines.
Think of making a "key" that has a flat side. Now that you are done, put the ruler away and try to freehand redraw them mirrored past the straight line. Then note any differences.

This should help you to see what you are seeing better and get you accustomed to both shape seeing and even a bit of proportion. Once you can get it semi okay, you can try shape matching or start to think in 3d shapes instead.

Excluding my schizoposting, Loomis can't really help much; you still draw the relief of the face, the shape of the forehead, etc.

I don't really miss being a furry. These body types are so muchbetter to draw without the fur.

Ye, like that. Notice how different some of your curves are and that some of your points aren't perpendicular to the mirror line?
Now think about when you see a line from a model you are drawing and attempt to put that line on paper, you now might be aware of by how much you might potentially miss that line.

Doing this every once in a while and aiming for relative accuracy, you might develop a better ability to see the "outline" of a form better. Once you have a proper outline for a form, it's much easier to understand it's internals. For example, in the bottom left, you can see a pretty easy form to visualize - a simple box with a blue line through it. While it's in pretty basic perspective and what others would consider flat and not something to really strive for, try imagining it as a tallish box. Your eyes and mind will likely connect the missing lines.

Now take your hand and cover either half of it. Notice how it turned into a much more easily recogniseable and replicable 2d shape? That's because your brain no longer sees those points of connection/the other half. If you want to grasp forms better, you can just try this method on whatever you are drawing from. Cover what you feel is half of what you are drawing (say the ribcage or torso - then try to draw the lines you see. Once you do that, do the other half and then when you are done, look at the entire shape you drew.

If you want to practice your depth wision at a simple level, you could do ribbons or extrusions. For ribbons, just do a sweeping curvy line and try to redraw that line a bit offset in a direction, then "connect the differences between the two to form a 3d shape. Extrusions are the same put with shapes. Draw a shape, choose a direction and then draw the visible part. I can post a picture of these exercises if you want them.

This is the first time i've really used hatches and didn't even consider the idea of bending them for the shapes, i'll keep that in mind going forward. I see what you mean about the ballooning, I definitely have a bad habit of overly curving lines that shouldn't be, it's only recently I noticed how often Asanagi uses straight lines for what reads as curved hair. Extending that to the rest of the image is something I hadn't considered yet but does make a lot of sense. I'll be fixing these up when I get the chance to draw next.

The closest I have to an explanation is when I did my initial sketch to understand the reference I also matched the height, terms of height (about 5'ish head tall), the hips and chest definitely popped out more, but I wanted to make mine taller and when making those adjustments I didn't widen the hips or change the chest's flow. Tl;dr I think when I wanted to change the anatomical length of my character, for the sake of "anatomy", I made her hips and chest with flatter, more similar curves. By no means a good reason, but it's the closest I can say for why I made the choices I did?

However, you are right, it is less interesting what I did, and I 100% see what you mean though, which was my concern when I looked at my framework. Thank you very much for the extra eye! I'll post an update soon'ish!

Taking another look as I went and made some adjustments, I think one of my fears was also a fear of exaggerating the hip and chest too much that it would look out of place with my linework/structure shape. Not sure if I'm misinterpreting what you're saying, but copying stuff and memorizing construction methods is there so you can build up stuff from any angle. If you're not just mindlessly copying lines, it should eventually help you think about which forms you need to use to draw a head for example and be able to turn it whichever way you want.
Of course if you're only copying lines without thinking about what they actually represent, you're not gonna learn a whole lot except maybe drawing nice lines. That's why you should try to always deconstruct anything you copy.

Another Wagie here, sucks sometimes, but if you wanna do both finished stuff and studies, maybe just alternate days where you focus on one and then the next day on the other. Or alternate even on a single day. Personally, I rarely can focus for more than 1-2 hours on one thing, so that's when I switch to something else.

Kinda yeah, but also not entirely? Idk if we're maybe talking about the same thing, but memorizing imagery kinda sounds to me like you're just learning how to draw something from one angle. You can do that, and especially for learning how to make stuff look good through masterstudies that's pretty valuable, but for construction you really want to seperate the learned stuff from any specific image. I kinda visualize it as something like blender and I'm slowly learning how to use stuff like spheres, cylinders etc to build stuff. But obviously that doesn't ever look a certain way, cause I can look at it from whichever angle I want.
Not that it's actually as easy as just learning construction one time and you can just instantly pose it perfectly in 3d space, but that's the end goal. For me at least.

I guess I put it in the wrong way but the idea would be getting how something looks in 3d and then getting how to put that in 2d with it still feeling 3d and not like flat. So basically I'd see the construction of the skull where it's like a circle at around 2 thirds of the head and then it's cut off beyond that and then there's another cut off part to the side because the head is like a cut off oval and stuff and I have to try to think how it'd look in different angles etc, kinda like in blender like you said. I did say I have aphantasia but it's like a weird one where I still see like a blur of what I'm thinking about so I still try to do the best I can with that. I also try to see like the planes of heads and stuff like I would see them in blender because it's kinda easy to do while being outside and stuff. Lighting irl makes the planes pretty clear.
