I feel very fortunate that, with a sole exception, no one in my personal life ever expressed any strong interest that I should do any of that with my life. The sole exception was grandma, who during my teens would periodically ask whether I had a girlfriend (yet). She stopped asking not because she realized that it just wasn't going to happen, but rather because she took a steep decline into dementia during my late teens and early 20s, precisely the time when normies expect of themselves and of each other that they have some sort of partner.

The timing was rather convenient, in a way. No one else in my personal life has ever given me any crap on the subject. The parents seem to be satisfied that I live as an independent adult and that I handle all my basic adult business all by myself. Once in a great while, a brand new hire at work, who knows nothing about me, may ask whether I have a wife/gf and/or kids. I politely reply that I'm a bachelor. Then they never bring the subject up with me ever again.
