The interiors of my cars and every piece of electronic equipment I've ever owned tend to a very high state of preservation and cleanliness, and attain a certain kind of perfection in gardens & lawns I have the time & resources to work as I see fit. On the other hand I tolerate a lot of disorder when it comes to my desk, a broad expanse of tempered glass, is densely and evenly and randomly littered with with about 4 months of unopened mail (I'll get to it in due course) or the look of my shoes. I hate breaking in new ones so goddamn much, and dreadful as the old ones look. I'll still put the fuckers on when putting on shirts and pants you can't find today at almost any price.
