Japan's metal scene is slightly larger than Korea's, but the Japanese are not particularly obsessed with metal. The punk scene in Japan is larger than the metal scene, and there is a genre called youth punk. When I think of Japan, I think of punk, math rock, noise, and electronic music.

Whether someone will actually do it is about 50/50.
