How come literally every nation on the planet is degenerating in one way or the other?

We are reaching peak capitalist, digital, post-industrial society. Wealth and assets continue to be monopolised into the hands of fewer and fewer. Middle classes in the developed world are dying out as megacorps buy up all the property and gain leverage in the jobs market. AI and computers are eating up more and more jobs. Money is constantly leeching value and anyone without proper assets is becoming poorer. This then has a knock on effect on developing countries that act as the manufacturing plants for the first world, so you see places like China, South East Asia etc start to stagnate, jobs becoming scarcer and less well paid. The third world is already the third world so it can't get much worse, but certainly things like aid will start to dry up as more and more citizens of first world countries demand that state resources are spent on them and not foreigners. To be fair, this will probably be a good thing for the third world because they might actually have to learn how to be self-reliant.

But yeah, tl:dr is that modern tech has allowed wealth to become more centralised than ever, and thus the rest of us don't get a look in.

Nah shits just going to get more gay and boring. We will live in pod flats and eat plastic enriched soy meals. We'll clock in at our gig economy jobs for 50 hours a week so that we are able to afford the rent that claims 90% of our wages. Family, relationships and sex will end. We will live alone, consuming AI generated media and AI generated porn that fills up the entire time that we are not working. Kids will all be IVF test tube babies as fertility continues to plummet, and communal raising will take over from traditional family, with the state taking over most of the job so that they can thoroughly indoctrinate the new wage fodder into society.

Anything cool that comes from future tech will be reserved for a small group of hyper-elites that are in control of the computers that automatically run the society. Immortality, eternal youth, endless leisure and pleasure, while the 99.9% toil meaningless jobs that only serve to redistribute credits, while an AI and robotic workforce do all of the meaningful tasks. And one day, the elites will realise they don't need us at all, and the soy meal distribution system will be cut off, the water supply ended, the lights shut off, and they'll finally starve the underclass slaves out of our misery.

The structure of modern society is a product of thousands of years of human development that is constantly in flux. It can only advance or degenerate. All of the institutions on earth are artificial (created by humans, not natural) and the larger they are the more resources and manpower they require just to maintain a state of basic existence. This ranges anywhere from small businesses to entire countries.
These institutions continue to grow until they've become to complex to maintain. At that point the institution either becomes so large that it can no longer support itself and it implodes or it finds new means to support itself more efficiently. Natural organisms achieve this gradually through evolution which enables things like plants and animals to grow larger and more complex. Human society evolves much faster than that, and throughout human history this has been achieved in the form of major scientific and technological breakthroughs.
>agriculture helped feed people and sustain larger populations
>writing helped organize those larger populations
>medicines helped keep those large populations alive
>industrialization increased the speed at which society could function
Right now the world is obviously heading toward automation through artificial intelligence. It will allow for widespread censorship and population monitoring for governments on a scale never before possible, reducing citizen unrest and allowing for government institutions to exist without threat of violent or peaceful revolutions. The quality of basic life may go down, but AI will introduce a new age of artificial comfort with an monitoring AI nanny state that lie to you constantly to keep you happy and content with your shit life working in the anthill of human civilization. That's out next evolution, ignoring our problems and inducing a technology fueled trance like state of artificial comfort.
