What? They sack you if you dont give enough exams?

no
but I was a giga retard and signed up for additional exams early on in 1st semester because I wanted to compensate for losing a year being a neet
basically I signed up for 60 credits instead of the normal 30 and obiously I didn't pass most of the additional 30 credits
but after you first write an exam there is a certain timeframe in which you have to pass it (+ you only have a limited number of tries)

I felt the same way at my signal processing exam this winter, but i passed with a B, so all is well that ends well

I got some points deducted because i didn’t show full proof at times but who cares

here, you can pass with a 65%, (but you still need a 75% to take the next class in a sequence). the bar is low enough that you don't really stress about failing

It's difficult to explain, but basically there's two levels. College engineering (AMK) and university engineering (DI) which somewhat corresponds to masters. The latter has a heavy theoritecal focus with a lot of maths

I know the feeling. I have felt literally the same every time we had exam season.

Today I got the results for my Physics 2 exam and last week I got the results for my Power Engineering exam both of which I though I would fail pushing my graduation back half a year, maybe even an entire year into the future. Passed both of them though albeit with mediocre results.

Now I'm waiting for the results of my Microelectronics exam, this one I think I passed pretty easily.

In September I will start writing my Bachelor Thesis. I can't wait to be done with school, it felt like an eternity .

"Enough" is a relative term, but I did take a lot of difficult courses as electives (voluntary, didn't have to do them but did anyway). Of course I could have studied harder, but didn't feel like I need to

In the field of engineering there really aren't much more difficult subjects. I suppose I could have gone for a major in theoretical physics, but from what I hear, those people are a whole different type of autist

Right. I still don't know where those people get employed. All I know is that most normal people dropped out from theoretical physics major. Just saying, if we at our uni were autistic eggheads by normie standards, then theoretical physics majors were autistic eggheads by our standards

Industry labs. ASML, Zeiss, Siemens Medicine, ..., the issue with that line of work is that often the niche is very small so you are restricted in terms of job opportunities.

uni is such a schizo world

the only times I got 100% I thought I was going to fail after leaving the exam room and when I think I am well prepared I often end up with 60 to 70%

> seems like you didn't challenge yourself enough
how does one restart doing this?
got buckbroken in 7th grade and ever since then I challenged myself by doing the bare minimum and getting the maximum in return, i wish I still had the spirit to go for the top because I think I actually could have pulled it off in my class (best one has a 1.7 average, I have a 2.1 average)

Kind of.
Failed a class from the first year 3 times. Not because i thought it was particularly hard but because i didn't study.
Started taking depression meds this year and things are better with studying.
Still considering changing careers and studying accounting, though.
Mostly depends on how i perform next semester, if i fail the important classes I'll just take the hint and give up, by that point I would've wasted 4 years.
So you could be worse.
