I was hyped up at first because it was finally happening but got utterly psychologically demolished due to dogshit online studies and the utter chaos going to study in the hospital wearing a trashbag and seeing all the tired and angry staff as well as patients. Started drinking heavily after.

Well it was fun but they put the lid on it a tad bit early just because people were starting to make lists and organize at the local level without using mobile phones.

I got locked out of my country for a year so no. Arguably the economy and state of things after covid is worst. Atleast during covid there was social order in the cities.

The last 5 years has been really aids. I am ready for a brighter era to begin.

I am petrified how much it just blurred and fastforwarded the years, it only felt like 6 months. The damage done and how easy it was to just loose control. Never had problems with drinking but I just decided to relax with a prized liquor bottle in 2020 November and then poof, never stopped, would get piss drunk after work or study in the evening every single day.

What actually happened to COVID btw?

We had a locked border, daily press conferences with the prime minister on TV and a hotline to dob offenders in.

Now it would be as if it never exsisted. No one wears masks or really even talkes about it. Kinda odd that.

Simple. The ones more susceptible to it have died and the rest just got immunity through collective sharing of the disease or vaccines. Now it just is just another "bug" floating in the pile, nothing new or special.

I would like to clarify the dying part and add those who had a life threatening response to the virus, they were the ones cloging the hospitals and were brought back from the brink with the tools we use, there are none of those now.

The whole 'crisis' being memoryholed that fast is just more proof that the whole thing was never a crisis and more an exercise in how much control the ruling class can grab under the guise of 'safety'. That type of shit never stopped, just take a look at the UK.

The most depressing period of my life. I was shamed by society, looked suspiciously at by Asian business owners doubting I had proof of vaccination, kicked out of stores, avoided on public transport by trembling pregnant women for not wearing a mask, staired at by cops when going for a /nightwalk/ after the curfew, in a constant state of fear that vaccines would become mandatory and the New World Order would be implemented, had to watch on as children were illegally vaccinated without their parents requests at schools, etc. A truly evil time. And the Australian people, save those heroic few, did nothing, just accepted the authoritarian laws. A truly sad time. I will never forget it.

You think this is bad? Wait until some real pozz hits the market with at least let say 10% mortallity rate there will be dead people on the streets and soyciety collapsing. Chinkflu for all intents and purposes was just a piss in the wind. But we somehow survived black death I hope ancient fags aren't as wise as us but it would be a stretch to claim so.

The western establishments now subsist on crises, real or manufactured. Whether it is "terrorists", financial collapse or a sickness, they will try and expand control of consumption, discipline labour/stabilise-reduce wages and justify war with opponents who still maintain primarily a production capitalism midel instead of the finacial speculation paradigm of the West
