Why are immigrants and/or minorities considered "sellouts" for being patriotic for the country they currently live in? If you are Mexican or Nigerian and you come to the USA and want to be patriotic, you should feel 100% empowered to do so.

Honestly I blame the immigrants and minorities. White americans will for the most part actually be accepting of an integrated, english speaking immigrant. They will have no problem if that immigrant is flying an american flag or wearing american titty clothes like in your OP.

Its understandable that a worker becomes patriotic in that country in which he is being exploited in lesser magnitude.

As a concrete example, in Mexico an average worker only needs to work for 30 minutes on average to be able to reproduce his labour power while the remaining 7.5 hours (if he is lucky) he works for his boss.

Once in USA, the same mexican worker gets to keep 4 or 5 hours of the value created by his own labour.

This is a drastic difference that shapes the mentality and ideology of the worker.

He will ascribe this uplifting not the historical battles waged by the working class of said country, but on the flag, institutions and all the nationalist paraphernalia, instilling in him reactionary nationalist sentiments

This is where marxists need to educate the worker-immigrant, that:

a) his better working conditions where not granted by the "nation" in which he is currently residing, but by historical wages fought by the working class

b) the working class has no country. In order to spread those working conditions to other working class people, its gotta be internationalist by principle
