But how do Muslims see Christianity and Christians? Do they see it the same way?

maybe its because my social media is west centered but on the internet i see about 20 times more hate from christians towards muslims than vice versa. i dont think ive ever seen some arab account dedicated to shitting on christians

Honestly, Islam feels more coherent and morally consistent than Christianity. At least Muslims still take their faith seriously, follow clear laws, and haven't turned their religion into a feel good self-help seminar. Meanwhile, Christianity keeps bending over backwards to appease liberal values, and now half of them don't even believe in the resurrection anymore. If anything, Islam is what Christianity wishes it still was.

Christianity isn't a real thing, it's impossible to form an opinion about. It's the most malleable religion in existence probably, every sect believes wildly different things and it changes all the time.

No, I pointed out inconsistency. Christianity tries to please both liberal culture and ancient doctrine and it doesn't work. Islam at least sticks to its framework.

We actually respect Christians and Jews in terms of religion as People of the Book or as The Celestial Religions. Between the two, we feel Judaism is the less corrupted, hence we can eat Kosher meat as halal. Most Muslims will not denigrate Jesus or Moses or any of the shared Prophets because it is a sin in Islam, hence our consternation when Christians or Jews denigrate Muhammad. Many practices in Islam arose due to trying to prevent what we feel to be corruptions in Christianity from happening again. Primarily, there is no priesthood in Islam to prevent an institution like the Papacy to develop. The Quran and prayers must be in the original Arabic to prevent mistranslations and intentional changes that we feel were done to the Bible. We have the huffaz, people who memorise every word in the Quran and can recite any verse on command. These act as living error checkers to the Quran.

Early on in Islamic history, there was actually a less known Hegira, where Muslims escaped to Christian Ethiopia and sought refuge there. The Pagan Quraish sent emissaries to capture the muslim refugees but the muslims recited the Surah Maryam to the Ethiopian King and he decided to protect them. When this King died, the Prophet performed a funeral prayer for him, the only time this is performed for a non-Muslim.
