Waiting for my gf (humble bragging hard) to return. She went on a supply run to the supermarket for ibuprofen, snacks and drinks since I'm on the couch with a 39.8c fever, clogged nose and the freezing/sweating shakes since last night.
Feels like I'm fucking dying here.
Haven't slept in like 30 hours.

I had a glass of whisky last night to help me sleep but it just made my throat burn like fire and instantly made my stomach turn.
Gonna eat some garlic chicken soup later instead. And chug pepsi max with lime.
My usual cure-all. Doesn't work but still.

Yeah grog is an old sailor cure here on the west coast as well. Usually dark rum, warm sugar water and ginger powder. I have never tried it but maybe I should.

Honey sounds nice. Back when I was a kid my mom used to just put honey in warm water when we kids were sick and have us drink it. Helped a lot with a sore throat.

It temporarily relieves the worst of it i supouse. But if i can i'll still spend the hangover day in a dark room doing nothing ( this is the finnish tradition )
