One thing about Islam is that, if the folks have given up on this life, they start doing good for the next life, the afterlife

My parents never saw as me as "human" per se, they just saw me as a tool for them to get to heaven
So they restrict me, take my money, "force" me to stay

I'm fighting back, sure, but they haven't taken it well
I keep telling my mom she has 3 other sons, she can depend on them now because I'm fucking tired
Tired of taking care of them, tired of having my life derailed just so they can get a shot at theirs

I have no friends nor a gf

I'm Asian, so there's fillial piety
and I was raised Muslim, so there's another layer of fillial piety

Everytime it's payday, I give 70% of my salary to them, I don't know why I just do, something inside keeps telling me "They've taken care of you your whole life, at the very least you can give them some of your pay to help out"
They don't force me to stay but again, fillial piety; I've been the only one "available" per se, my younger brothers were always busy with school or university, but now I'm older and they're older so I feel like my job's done, y'know?
